Dining at The West House in Kent was an unforgettable journey that went far beyond the realms of traditional gastronomy. Each dish served was not just a meal but an emotional exploration, profoundly touching our hearts and minds. From the moment we stepped into The West House, we were enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere, setting the stage for the extraordinary evening that lay ahead. Each course served was a masterpiece, meticulously crafted to not just tantalise the taste buds but to evoke a spectrum of emotions. The dishes were innovative, each telling a unique story through its flavors, textures, and presentation, leaving us in awe of the chef’s artistry and passion for food. What made the meal truly unforgettable was how it provoked deep, emotional responses. Each bite seemed to carry a narrative, from joy and nostalgia to curiosity and wonder, making us pause and reflect on the experiences that shape our lives. The food did more than just satisfy our hunger; it stirred conversations between me and my wife about life, love, and the pursuit of happiness, elevating our spirits and bonding us even more closely. The West House offered us more than a meal; it provided an emotional awakening, making it a truly transformative dining experience that we will cherish and seek to revisit very very soon.

We didn't stay here but we did eat in the restaurant. Its the 2nd time we've been. Food is always excellent but check out prices before you go. My opinion is that the food is excellent and up there with the best. This comes at a cost which is absolutely fine. However. Although I do appreciate that a lot of work goes into the various courses with fine ingredients which is where the cost is I did feel a bit disappointed with the optional extra cheese and biscuit course which for £15 for 4 tiny pieces of cheese, 4 biscuits and some pickle was a bit over priced. Tasty but over priced. That being said I would definitely go back.4 of us ate food, 2 bottles of wine, 3 cocktails, soft drinks and 1 coffee nearly £600.I do feel that the 12.5% service charge should be optional and not automatically added to the bill.. this out of everything would be what would make me think twice about going back.As previously mentioned, the food is excellent so worth a try at least once.Staff are very friendly and attentive.

I'm not sure why it has taken us so long to get around to making a reservation at The West House, as it is only a 25 minute drive from home, I'm just glad that we finally did it. Wow and Wow Again! A set menu of multiple courses all of which were superb in taste and presentation, complimented by an excellent wine and all served by a great team of friendly and professional staff. Each course was mouth wateringly described upon presentation and lived up to what we came to expect. It was a miserable night outside but that was almost immediately forgotten once inside the cosy, well decorated restaurant that projected and delivered to the standards of any major city fine dining establishment. Congratulations to all involved. We will definitely be returning.

We went for the extended lunch menu with wines, both the food and wines were fantastic. We ate here a couple of years ago and were unsure whether the menu and service warranted the price, however both were significantly better this time and the entire experience was excellent. Little touches like the churros and scones before the starters were delightful and every course tasted brilliant and was paired well with the wines. An excellent performance by the staff and chefs.

A wonderful evening of food and a great stay in the restaurant’s rooms. We thought the food was phenomenal and we particularly loved the side bits - home made bread with beef fat butter, home pickled onions, the amazing Eccles cake (served with the cheese), the salted caramel chocolates. The main dishes were incredible too but the love that goes into the little things really shows how much care. They also catered very well to my dietary needs, this is becoming less common and I was very grateful. We stayed in the restaurant’s rooms, which I’d highly recommend. The room was stunning and the bed very comfortable. The best shower I’ve EVER had! Thank you!

We had a nice, relaxing evening meal. Tables in the restaurant are at a good distance from each other, which makes all the difference. The staff was attentive but not overbearing. The food was delicious and beautifully presented and arrived at just the right intervals. We loved little surprise treats in between courses. Will definitely come back. Big thank you to Chef Graham and his Team.

Visited today - a Mothers Day gift of a short lunch. We loved every minute of it from the little appetisers of Parmesan churros to an octopus starter with chorizo, confit duck with sweetcorn, venison loin and apple dessert. Service was friendly and discrete. Cannot fault a thing! We will return.
