This is the worst Indian restaurant, I have ever been. Starters were so bad that we have decided to leave restaurant after eating it which we didn’t even finish. Lamb was undercooked and chicken was dry and worst I have ever had. Beer was flat and it seems like frozen food was warmed up and served to us. This is an insult to Indian food and this restaurant is being run by people who are not only Indian but who have no idea about how Indian food should be cooked. Please save your time and money and NEVER EAT HERE.

I was very dissappointed to find there was a service charge on my bill, it did not say on the menu service charge and does not seprate this on the bill, 10% wont be back I dont pay service charge for average service and you need to serve anyway, so why charge me 10%, food was okay. They obvously do this becasue they have lots of cruise ships coming inot the area and the Ameicans are used to it.

Good location, just 5 minutes walk from Dover beach , Mediocre food at best though. Hygiene seems to be an issue as found flies hovering inside and the place had a smell to it.

It didn’t taste very Indian to me though it is termed as Indian.Food is quite spicy and oily as I found it..Breads were thick and big, looked to me more like either Bangladeshi or Pakistani cuisine. However, it wasn’t that bad if people prefer a little spicy/oily once in a while. You may find it a good taste. I found the chef very friendly but not the general staff.10 mins walk to dover station.

During our two-week holiday we spent two pleasurable evenings at Cinnamon Island, enjoying the beautiful decorations, the wide range of tasty dishes and the friendly service. As Cinnamon Island is definitely one of our holiday highlights, we can clearly recommend a visit to all of those who are fond of Indian cooking.

Been twice now since visiting Dover. One both occasions the food was really good. The service was too also. They cook to your preference and take pride in quality and presentation. Don’t hesitate and go. I have been to many restaurants and you will not be disappointed

I Decided to visit for the first time after my daughter’s exam at the nearby college. We decided to have a takeaway meal and we Ordered two portions of rice, a chicken korma and a vegetable korma. I paid £25 in total. I eagerly took the meal home to enjoy. I was so disappointed as the kormas were inedible. The amount of sugar that had been added to the korma was beyond belief. We have enjoyed kormas before at other Indian restaurants, they do contain coconut milk, so yes, I expected a little sweetness, but this was so overpowering, the meals had to be binned. I called to complain the following day, and a member of staff took my number and some details, promising me that the Manager would be in touch as soon as possible. I did not receive a call. Customer service is most important when running any kind of business, so this, frankly was very poor. We will not be visiting again. I’m sorry to say that I will not be recommending this restaurant to anybody. Unless the Management improves it’s customer service, the restaurant will ,inevitably lose customers. A very expensive mistake!!!

Very friendly staff, lovely place with lots of room but the best bit is the food. Have eaten Indian food far and wide (including in north and south India) but have to say this is one of the most flavoursome and aromatic meals we have ever had. It was so good we had to go back again on the second night of our stay. The Dhansak was lovely Cinnamon Island Special with prawns the size of small lobsters is a triumph (pic attached) and I am happy to recommend it. Wish this place was our local!

Fantastic restaurant. Myself and my husband visited last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was outstanding and the staff were so lovely and accommodating. If we ever visit Dover again we know where we will be going for dinner.

Warm welcome as always, service and food excellent. Always ready to inform and suggest suitable dishes based on your interests and willing to adapt if necessary. Always impressed, never disappointed and we will continue to visit whenever we pass through Dover. Our go to Indian restaurant, much appreciated.
