As a regular walk in customer I have never had bad chips before, however I ordered from just eat this evening, and the chips were disgusting, they were dry, hard, and tasted like they had been microwaved, I won't be ordering again

Easily the best that I've ever had .....well done to all the staff and especially the guy who cooked it ....amazing!\\nThe beautiful girl behind the till was polite and greeted us with a smile.\\nWould recommend highly and is mostly certainly, the best chip shop in Herne Bay ??

It is very difficult to find a decent veggie burger (that is not just a quorn/soya patty). I am delighted to report the veggie burger here is delicious. You can see the vegetables in light fluffy potato with a perfect breaded coating. Mine wasn't overcooked either, which again, happens a lot at other places.\\nThe chips were also delicious (real spud taste!)\\nThey have my loyal custom from now on!

Not sure what’s happened to this place but it’s gone so far downhill. Ordered a variety of things and the chips were cold, soft and oily, the sausage was undercooked and the saveloy was brown inside. I did get my money back but honestly avoid this place like the plague unless you want to loose a few lb’s from food poisoning.

Britannia fish bar was a great pit stop on my adventures. The shop has just had an owner change less than three months ago. I enjoyed every bite of my fish cakes and chips. I will be back soon hopefully sooner than later. Next time I will get curry sauce to go with this. Hopefully, it will be as tasty as the fish cakes. Thank you

We visited the Britannia Fish Bar yesterday evening. We ordered online prior to arrival, being given a timeslot for collection. Order was ready on time. Service was friendly and polite. Massive portions of fabulous food, we had haddock and chips. Was given a cold can of drink whilst I waited (as I arrived a tad early). They even gave our dog a free sausage to eat when it had cooled.Highly recommend Britannia Fish Bar, we will definitely return!!

I recommend this chippy to others as usually it’s the best for portion size and quality and I like the Shakey Shakey mix. It’s the first time I’ve eaten anything from here in about 6 months. I was given a few chips to try while I waited, nice touch. Last night I ordered a large Cod £8, Medium Chips £3 and Mushy Peas £1.50 and waited for a good 15 minutes for it. Was quite hungry and looking forward to dinner. I wish I hadn’t gone here now as the fish looked medium and was overcooked and the mushy peas were dry, chips were average. Definitely not worth £12:50 and I think I’ll try somewhere else next time.

Great fish and chips, tasty scampi. Skin removed on the cod was a nice touch, crisper batter underneath. Shakey shakey seasoning worth adding, adds a lemon and pepper-y hit. Really nice to see where the fish is from and today's potato variety on a board inside. 5* chippy ?
We visited based on reviews and a recommendation. Service was great with chips while we waited. And the chip portions generous. But the fish and chips were both a bit overcooked and dry. Perhaps we were unlucky.

Went to Shakey Shakey today at 5pm. Website says it is open as does the sign on the door but it is quite clearly shut as it is in darkness and no one there. No sign or note on the door etc. Was going to try this as have just moved into the area and have heard good reviews but having wasted my time I won't be going back. Very poor communication with customers.

Best fish and chips! The owner was super lovely and made everything completely fresh - added with their very own Shakey Shakey seasoning. The fish was crispy as were the chips and piping hot - not too greasy. Highly recommended and will come back again!
