We was staying at hythe imperial and my mum recommended this place to eat. What a lovely little find a real gem of a place. Lovely friendly atmosphere, lovely food and lovely warm fire. Will definitely be coming Back.

We were staying locally at new beach caravan site and didn’t fancy going to the carvery next door and after asking for a few recommendations we came across Boltophs Bridge inn. We called on the Saturday and was able to get a table booked for Sunday. We ended up arriving ahead of hour before our booked time and were prepared to wait as it was down to us that we arrived early. We were shown to our table and sat and had a drink before ordering our food at 3pm which is when we had booked the table for. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was brilliant. My only thing which is personal to me is that I would have preferred crispier roast potatoes but that does not take away from the fact that it was a delicious Sunday roast. The puddings were from the special board and they were lovely too. Would definitely return next time we are in the area

First time visiting the pub today and enjoyed a delicious roast lamb dinner. Food and service both great. Dog friendly and friendly locals.Vegetarian options: Noted on the Menu.Parking: Car park to side of pub with adequate spaces.

Been here a few times with different family members. Its loud yet peaceful. Its full of characters who remind me what pubs are about. The staff are very friendly full of smiles and joy. The pimms is out of this World...my wife loves them. Loads of fruit. They also take the blue light card which is unusual for a pub and well received. Give it a go.

Excellent food at great prices. White wine selection good and chilled, red wine good selection all fairly priced. Top that off with top notch service and you can't go wrong. No issue in recommending this pub for food or a drink.

Home cooked food and good value. We are in the evening and the service was great. If you go during the day and the weather is clear, apparently you can see giraffes, from the wildlife park, on the hills. Would return.

Considering that our meals for a table of eleven had been pre ordered I was very disappointed with our meal. The young lady that waited at our table was very pleasant but three of the eleven meals were delayed by at least ten minutes meanwhile the rest of us had nearly finished our food, but the liver and bacon did look delicious when it eventually arrived, my fish pie was ok but that's the best to be said and the veg looked like it had just been dumped in the bowls.I had chosen Eton mess for dessert , this was dreadful, just a bowl of overwhipped cream with strawberry sauce drizzled through, barely a hint of meringue or strawberries, this was exchanged for a sticky toffee pudding with custard. This looked delicious but was in fact rubbery and decidedly not sticky, custard was goodI don't think I will be dining here again.I got the distinct feeling that nobody really knew what they were doing, meals missing, grotty dessert, soup spoons to eat your dessert with ( what's that all about?)

Went there for a family meal. Large diverse menu options with daily specials too. Service was quite slow and we had to get the attention of staff a couple of times as we felt we'd been forgotten but the staff were very friendly and polite. The food is all homemade which is refreshingly nice. Good sized portions too and delicious. Will definitely go back.Vegetarian options: Good variety of veggie optionsKid-friendliness: Kids are welcome and there's a little play area outsideParking: I managed to get the last parking space, could imagine on a really busy day parking could be tricky.

Just had lunch in this dog friendly pub ,liver and bacon for the husband and lasagna for me. The food was amazing ,lovely flavours and generous portions. If you haven’t tried it you’re missing out. Will definitely return again.

So disappointed by our visit … I had asked on Fb and my friends somewhere they could recommend to celebrate our 40th anniversary with our family and this came out top and I was so looking g forward to a really lovey meal with our family. Alas this didn’t happen We arrived and waited a while to have our order taken but it’s a Sunday and we were talking so l appreciate you were busy. However the meals were way below standard in our opinion with two being sent back! One was my grandsons who is I must say a professional when it comes to burgers. The beef burger was ordered but a lamb burger arrived. Whilst it was taken back when the waitress returned she actually argued with my daughter over the fact that it was a beef burger with seasoning in it! My daughter had actually tried the burger and went oh that’s lamb! I think most people know the difference between a lamb and beef burger and the one served was defiantly lamb. The other meal to go back was my husbands he had ordered a pork loin … to say the pork loin was overdone was in fact an understatement it was almost impossible to cut it had to be ‘ripped apart and he did try it and said it was so tough he couldn’t chew it. When the meal had been delivered we had to ask for the vegetables for my husbands dinner and also for the cauliflower cheese which was advertised on the menu and which accompanied the roast dinners. After the meals were sent back The waitress returned and huffed if you want another meal cooked it will be 30minutes for it to be cooked …. This is not satisfactory. I have worked in many kitchens and foh and when a meal is returned to the kitchen you normally put that tables new order to the top of the pile to replace the unsatisfactory one - perhaps this was done I don’t know I wasn’t in the kitchen but with the service up to this point not very good at all the two people whose meal had been returned decided not to reorder. So all in all a poor choice for our 40th wedding anniversary, your foh waitress needs to learn not to argue with customers, she may be right or she may be wrong but at the end of the day as we know the customer is always right or that’s what I was taught. I am disappointed to write this review as I think we are all working hard for our living, however when people are spending their hard earnt money they want good service and a good meal which wasn’t forthcoming on this occasion

Did a bit of research as we wanted a proper Ploughman's lunch and Botolph's Bridge was recommended. It didn't disappoint! Although it was busy the service was friendly and the food was excellent. Daughter had lasagne which was also fab. Would definitely come back again!

My husband and I always visit this lovely establishment and the service we receive is always outstanding. The bar staff and Mandy the Landlady are most exceptional, absolutely amazing. Nothing is to much trouble, the food is delicious and really well priced along with the drinks. We thoroughly recommend this lovely friendly pub. I’ve just read an awful review of the family that visited on the 13th August, we were in the pub at the very same time, actually just a couple of tables away. They did nothing but complain about everything from the service to the food! Probably to get their bill down! So rude to the staff and Landlady, no manners whatsoever. I sincerely hope they don’t return as they put people off going there!

Standard pub grub. Chicken tenders and chicken breast were quite dry, but in general all food was good. They were extremely busy and must be so for a reason. The staff were very friendly and accommodating with our autistic son. Very limited parking

Always enjoy coming here. The food is superb and the sauces one still remembers the flavour days later. Good choice of ales and cider. Good local family run pub.
