The staff were amazing the waitress even took a picture of the specials board to save me getting up. The chef cooked an omelette for my partner even though it was only on the lunch menu and it was the best omelette he’d had. My seared tuna was absolutely delicious. We are only staying for three days but we will be back before we go

Sat outside for Sunday roast lunch food was delicious when it arrived service was very slow although they were busy but we did order wine which never arrived. Went back one evening and had a lovely meal service was much better although they could have done with more staff as the barman was really working hard trying to do too many things at once. Would recommend for the food.

There were 5 of us that went in for lunch. They put 2 tables together and seated us quickly. The staff are super helpful and friendly and the food we all had was amazing. The price is excellent for how good the quality and quantity of food you get. Definitely be back ?

We arrived in Hythe early and as we couldn’t access our accommodation decided to have lunch here, and for the rest of the week we couldn’t stay away! Sooo friendly and the food brilliant, I’m a very picky eater but lunch, Sunday roast and steak dinner I ate everything ?. But the stand out service was…. the friendly staff absolutely brilliant ❤️

Another great visit today. Wife had Steak & Stilton pie, Huge chunks of steak and really delicious. I opted for battered Cod and chips. Huge lovely piece of fish, beautifully cooked. Great choice of meals. Nice decor. Lovely staff. You can't go wrong here

We celebrated my Mum's 70th Birthday meal and we had a fantastic experience. The staff, especially Tee made us feel so welcome. They had put us in a private dining room as there were 12 of us, and had decorated the room with birthday banners. The food was really good, sizzling prawns were so fresh and tasty. The portion sizes are very generous, so some struggled more than others, but we all had to have dessert as they were amazing. Would thoroughly recommend this pub for the friendliness of the staff, the choice of dishes and drinks and was really good value for money

Lovely friendly old pub. Excellent food and service in Hythe High Street. Probably need to book at weekends as it's very popular. Staff are very helpful.

Stopped in on the off chance for Father’s Day, had not booked, so just popped in and the staff re-jigged things and were able to fit our party of 4 in. Excellent service, food was amazing and came out very quickly, good vegetarian options on the menu. Could not fault the service. The staff were all delivering 100 percent. Will absolutely return.

Wonderful meal. Large portions of meat and veg including delicious cauliflower cheese in plenty of sauce, and a monster yorkshire pud. Piping hot too: always a must for me. Excellent and quick service with much humour which is always a hit with me. An excellent meal with family on Father's Day

A great, friendly welcome on arrival in this traditional, unpretentious pub in the centre of the High Street. The waitress an absolute joy, full of fun and nothing to much trouble. Service attentive with an extensive menu. Food terrific with good sized portions. Will certainly be returning.

It was a very good meal in a really pleasant classic British boozer, service with a smile and helpful and accommodating to a last-minute lunch walk-in during the school holidays. Great lunch.

Stumbled across this place while on a visit to Hythe. We were welcomed inside, our dogs were also welcome so always a plus in my book.I must admit I was really surprised at the quality of food, it was really tasty, although atouch pricey but u get what u pay for, I'd rather have a nice meal than a cheap meal that's cooked in a microwave. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. We would definitely recommend and will go back in the future, well done keep up the good work.
