Unique, fascinating, centrally located and SO friendly. Only 3 rooms plus a family suite, so "special". The owners are on site along with their gorgeous Jack Russel Charlie (who is lovely). Centrally located so everything is within easy walking distance.

Very clean, comfortable and with a good-sized fridge and microwave. The central location made it an ideal base to go exploring in all directions and the owner, Jamie, is super-helpful. No breakfast or parking is provided but there's a pay&display car park (with EV charging) very nearby and free unrestricted on-street parking just a 5 minute walk away.

I attended the Guest house on 13/05/2023 and stayed the night with my partner. The owner Jamie, was so welcoming and helpful. We had such a lovely room for what we paid and the service was top quality. We will def be staying there again in the future.

Such a lovely boutique guesthouse, thoughtfully decorated, lovely touches everywhere and warm hosts - we only stayed one evening but wished it was longer! Highly recommend

Since the new owner has taken over the guest house, much has been improved. The rooms are clean, appeared freshly decorated and well appointed, having a large TV, sofa, table, cupboard, fridge and microwave in our room. Our room also had the added benefit of a southern view across the High Street from the first floor. The decor is a delight with many interesting pictures of the old Hythe and artefacts of postal and telephony days gone by. Located at the end of the High Street and across the road from the Old Malthouse it is ideal for the shops, bars and restaurants, and a short walk from the Military Canal and a 15 minute walk from the beach. The owner bent over backwards to accommodate our requests. We shall definitely be returning and I highly recommend this guest house to everyone.

Ideally situated at the top end of the Hythe High Street, this delightful Guest House was a perfect place for our initial 6 night stay...it was so good, we went back for a further 3 nights. After a warm welcome from our host, Jamie, we were shown to our room. Jamie explained that breakfast was not included (which we knew already) however, recommended local eateries for breakfast, lunch and dinner. (We took advantage of his knowledge and enjoyed them all). Our room was well appointed with Ensuite, tea and coffee facilities, Mini fridge and microwave, TV and WiFi and comfortable bedding. We would highly recommend The Old Post Office Guest House.

Although this 3 roomed hotel do not offer breakfast, if you're heading for a very early morning EuroTunnel train (as we were) you're gone before any sensible eating hour. Jamie, the owner, was very good, He's arranged for his customers to have breakfast at various restaurants within a few minutes walk. The room we were given was just what we wanted; clean, functional, comfortable. This may become our regular resting place when travelling between Scotland and France.

Jamie was a very welcoming host. The family room was lovely and spacious and the fridge and microwave were useful extras. The guest house is very central and Jamie gave us useful advice about cafes and pubs. We'll be back
