“We were staying nearby so sampled the Woodcock Inn’s fare 3 times. Sunday lunch was excellent with large portions ( we had a small takeaway even on the ‘child’ size) and all good quality. The jam sponge and custard topped it off nicely. The evening menu has a good variety plus a couple of specials. The duck special, in particular, was really tasty but the chicken Caesar salad and sea bass were also delicious as were the chocolate fudge cake and cheesecake desserts. The welcome was friendly on all three visits, with efficient service. In all, definitely recommended!”
