DisappointedSupposed to be open till 4pm, arrived 3:25pm to be told rather bluntly that they've just closed so wouldn't serve us despite there being at least three tables of people still in there with drinks and food.Trying to support local businesses but some of them clearly don't want our support!

W've had a nice breakfast. Vegetarian was super! Nice people who are helpfull. The only downside is that it's a bit cold.

This cafe has always been my mum and dad's local. We lost my mum last year and since then, the staff have taken my dad under their wing - which I thank them for. I can 100% recommend their homemade soup, chilli jacket potatoes and egg mayo baguettes - yummy. This cafe is loved by locals too. Xx

Authentieke sfeer in een leuk Engels dorpje..

Please please start using real butter or at the least a decent spread, the last few times I've been in, the food has been ruined by the dreadful spread you use....

Absolutely awful I can't believe it happened, my 5 year old boy was desperate for the toilet so popped in to use as was always able to and knows no different only to be met as he came out of the toilet by the man who works in the cafe with his arms on his hip towering in the door staring at him and told him he can't use the toilet! This man not only was scary to my 5 year old that it made him cry but he was also incredibly rude to me. As a local and who family use this cafe alot we will not be returning and I will be tell people how he treats children Absolutely mortified it made me feel sick and my son so upset and confused. There is a way to talk to children this place obviously isn't child friendly and the way he was just staring at my son as he came out of the toilet and didn't speak for a few seconds really creeped me out.

Beware, this place only takes cash....very old fashioned values that are concerning!!!!

Sadly I would not return to this cafe despite the pretty location The owner was unhelpful and rude with a bad attitude.

The last time we visited Lenham we had no cash so had to forego any refreshments as that was the only choice. On Monday 25 September we decided to try again and bingo - Credit Cards were now accepted so we visited the Corner House Café. However, was it us (tired and desperately in need of refreshments)? or did we expect too much or did we arrive at the wrong time (should there be a wrong time?) as it was not a good experience, we just did not feel very welcome or that our custom was valued. The food choice seemed good and the coffee arrived quickly but after waiting for almost an hour my wife’s Vegan wrap choice left a lot to be desired and my cheese toastie had far much gooey cheese with not enough tomato. For the first time (perhaps) I wasn’t able to finish my meal. My wife really wanted a tomato toastie but even though the sign said all food fresh & made to order she couldn’t have that. They were not really full meals so why did it take so very long? It was most unfortunate that the young lady spilt a jug of milk all over the table (and some over my shoe) but some better expression of regret would have been welcomed – crying over spilt milk comes to mind. It will be a long time before we are back in Lenham again.

We go in here quite often for a coffee & sandwich as we pass it on our walk.Today I ordered a cream tea- the tea was very weak and I asked for another T-Bag.Can’t believe they charged me £1 for an extra T-Bag.Their loss as I would usually give a tip but I won’t in the future

Poor value for money. Very sadly after coming here for a few years we won’t be returning. We decided to take a family member here for an afternoon tea. It was so expensive…for a pot of tea for x3 and only x3 plain scones and my partner had a salad the bill came to just under £40. Crazy prices for just a pot of tea and 3 scones, there wasn’t much jam or cream either. Sorry to give negative feedback but this is too expensive for what we received.

Handy little cafe by the square with outside seating, with some humourless and odd staff. They have Cheese and Chuntney sandwiches, they have Ham and Tomato sandwiches (all made by hand from what I can see), yet if you want a Cheese and Tomato sandwich it involves a board meeting which comes to the conclusion you can but it will cost an additional £1.00.Anyway, it was very nice, served with a small garnish and some chips.

I came in today for breakfast with my nephew and sister in law and was very disappointed that there was no option for breakfast so we got two sandwiches and a baguette 2 coffee and a fruit shoot. The baguette was very hard to bite felt like I was chewing wood of a stick so was unable to eat it you also get a little salad on the side the cucumber was very dry like it had been sat for a long period of time. Also a staff member what I can only presume was the owner was quit rude in the way he spoke and not very welcoming. Overall £44.80 was extortionate for 3 sandwiches 3drinks and 2 scones would defo not recommend and will not be visiting again. When paying I bought up the fact that the bread was hard to eat and he just ignored me.

Ordered a mocha however it was so sweet I was only able to have a few sips. The bagel however was soft and lots of creamy cheese which is really nice. I had the salmon bagel and it was nice.

Called in here while out cycling, nice food and friendly service, well worth a visit. We will call in again.
