Really lovely contemporary French food, with great wait staff and excellent dessert patisserie options that they were happy to provide as a takeaway. All the dishes were tasty and well prepared/presented by the lamb chop cassoulet stole the show.

Lovely meal, we sat in the bar area which was a little more picturesque and more like a wine cellar than I would describe as a bar.Especially recommend the curried crab starter and beef bourginon and the bouillabaisse mains.All the the desserts the 6 of us had were really nice. I tried the prune and armagnac tart on this occasion as I have never had it before.We bought some extra apple tart to take home with us.

One of my favourite places in Maidstone when I choose where to go for a breakfast. Really love their atmosphere. Very nice to have a chance to see the owner of this place. All members of staff are very friendly and always serve with smile. Will definitely come back again and again. Just a shame they are closed on Sunday

Have been working at the Kent Showground this weekend and have managed to eat at Fred's once and have some cheese and wine the other evening. I do love this place. Wine food and cheese were all delicious and service was fantastic as well. Was v. busy both nights so do book.

Always, excellent food & drink. Visited numerous times & will go again. Good atmosphere with friendly & helpful staff. Highly recommended.They are good in that they will rearrange the tables for larger parties when you book in advance.Although the rules had just been relaxed regarding the wearing of masks for Covid, all the staff were still wearing them.One slight criticism is that the menu has hardly changed since I first ate there. One would expect changes with the seasons & which fruit & veg are in season at the time.

This place is phenomenal. As a Canadian, I have high expectations of service and I wasn't disappointed. Everything was like a well oiled machine and happened in a timely manner. We had drinks, starters, mains and dessert. Everything was so delicious that when I go back again, It'll be hard not to have the exact same thing!The portions were very big. We were stuffed! It was clean, spacious, well decorated and the staff were all really well presented and lovely. One staff member was wearing her face mask under her nose which was a bit annoying but she was young. You know how youngsters are with bending the rules. ?It wasn't too expensive, but it wasn't cheap. If you want to have 3 courses and drinks, expect to pay £30 +I'll definitely be returning here often. And next time I will take photos! 5 stars from me.
