Food was fine, service good but if you book the restaurant please be aware that dogs are not allowed in this part but web site says dog friendly that is why we chose it. Green King need to state this on web site or when booking on line ask if you are bringing a dog with you as this would be very helpful!!

Absolutely magnificent and star-tastic interior and exterior, excellent food, great seating everywhere, even the TVs there are splendid, definitely coming back again sometime for more when I get the chance to.
Today we had my dad’s wake here , we would like to say what a lovely warm friendly welcome we received . The buffet was really lovely with a mix of hot and cold food and the extra services that were given with cheering my kids up with some free mini chocolate bars and a coffee given on the house to me whilst sitting with my daughter asleep when the rest of the party had left and my family enjoying playing pool - was a very nice touch .id recommend to others , seems a very nice place for all and we will return again soon but hopefully on happier times . Went in here as family of four, didn't make a reservation but there was tables, was told could only sit at the high tables (with kids) once sat down bar staff were both stood looking and pointing at us made us feel very uncomfortable, stunk of cannabis outside was coming through windows. Won't be going back!

We visited The Billet for the first time in many years just before Xmas.It was quite busy and there was a good atmosphere. We managed to get a table despite it being pretty busy and them having a lot of table reservations. After looking at the large menu, we opted for the two meals for £11.49 deal. Hunters Chicken with chips and salad and a Chicken strips in Katsu sauce with rice and chips. The food did take a while to arrive, but like I said, it was busy, so it was understandable. The food was much better than I expected (considering the price), there was plenty there and it was cooked perfectly. There was a pool table around one side of the bar and a few TVs showing different sporting events. The pub was clean with the tables being cleaned regularly while we were there. The Billet also has a large beer garden to the rear of the building, which would be perfect for the summer. There were also a few benches at the front of the pub, but they are quite close to the main road, so not as inviting.I'm glad we visited The Billet as it beat my expectations and we will definitely be coming back more often.
