The hotel has very poor standards but is in a great location. Booked family rooms in 2021 as we attending a family wedding in May 2022, on arrival we were presented with standard rooms, which was not a great start, mentioned the issue to the manager who was not very helpful and shrugged his shoulders and said "what can I do about it" I found that was disgusting. I was attending a wedding so asked the manager to sort out the rooms that I had paid for in full last year and get in touch once it had been done. Unfortunately waited until the evening and nothing was done. Without informing me that he was unable to find a solution he went home. I appreciate the help from Heidi, Paul and Grace for stepping up and trying to rectify the issue, [5 stars to these 3 members of the hotel and the staff that work under them], but they were only able to do what they could in a short space of time, but they tried so I could not doubt that they help there, customers. I and 3 families with kids had an awful stay and will never return until the management does not change. To top it all off I was double-charged for my stay in the 3 family rooms, which was not as I was given, I would state that this could be a fraudulent transaction from the Manager Adam that booked us in if I did not check my account before I had checked out I would have never had known. I will have to contact the police on this matter as I had not to permit a large payment to be taken from my account. Still waiting on a response from the manager in regards to the transaction.

Staff were very unhelpful and didn’t want to know in the bar. Should be more plugs in bedrooms to charge electrical items and a instruction booklet on how to use items in the bathroom and how to open blinds. Also no bottle of water in the bedrooms.

It’s a comfortable hotel in the centre of sittingbourne with places to eat and drink within walking distance. Large car park. Room was comfortable but once again I’m finding more and more these modern hotels putting glass doors on the bathrooms and no lock on the door and a big gap above and below the door… so these rooms are designed for one person only… the toilet is practically in your bedroom. Nobody wants this… modern interior designers please stop it. Breakfast was disappointing everything was empty. No orange juice, no eggs. I ended up having a sausage with beans and a muffin. Good bar though which was open late and staff were nice.

March 2022 - I would never choose to stay here again. The room had two tiny slots, pretending to be windows that didn’t open, so it felt very claustrophobic with barely any natural light and no chance of getting fresh air. My room backed onto residential gardens and I was treated to a garden full of dogs barking each night! There was no Wi-Fi in the room, only in the communal areas downstairs. Lastly, I had a great walnut & goats cheese salad on day one, but it was different each time and there must’ve been a shortage of salad leaves by day three. Not a pleasant stay for me at all.

Nice enough check in, room ok. But right opposite air conditioning fans, sounded like a jet plane taking off all night.Lovely shower, but rusty towel rail, tissue holder and mirror....why not update everything?Breakfast a bit sparse, but ok, lovely lady in that part. But, omg, the lad server and receptionist were chatting and talking rubbish really loudly all the way through and it really echoed. Could have done without that. They were still chatting and didn't even acknowledge me giving my key back until I interrupted their diatribe.I don't want to listen to your gossip while eating breakfast.

Liked the bed, was comfy! Toilet flush was very hard to push.. No staff at desk to greet us when arrived, called a number on the door the phone called but was behind the desk (which no one was at) so had to go in the bar and call into the kitchen.. No water in room or any vending machines. Rooms were clean and had most of the essentials. Although Signal is poor on phonew

Where do I start, on arrival and sent to my room 241 I was on the phone within 10 minutes as no internet, sorry will rest the router, that went on for 3 days, asked if they would refund me as I needed WiFi to carry out my work and told a manager would ring! Still waiting for that call even though they say they tried (rubbish) I asked about the water temperature as this is Luke warm at best and told maintenance man wasn't around for a couple of days, I am still here as nowhere else in my area to stay, tea & milk in the room is hit and miss if you get it, After 1 week I had to ask for my bed sheets to be changed and reception were shocked and took 24hrs to change, Management need a wake up call Good point Reception and restaurant staff were lovely and food not bad,

I am a Platinum member and paid with my points for my 2-night stay in February. - Receptionist during check-in was rude and I was treated as a second class customer because I paid with points. - She didn't even check if a room was available before 2.00 pm. Early check in is an advantage of Platinum members (if a room is available). I checked online and rooms were available. The same for an upgrade. - The room was extremely noisy due to the A/C machines outside, sleeping was impossible - The room was used as storage, an armchair squeezed between bed and wall where you couldn't sit, a tall-standing fan in the wardrobe area. - Windows have never been cleaned, they were absolutely filthy from the outside, and it was not even facing the street - The shower head filthy green/brown, not possible to have a shower for fear of bacteria - There was no where to sit in the room for a cup of tea, sitting area outside the room had a filthy table and was only cleaned after I told the reception - A big sign in the reception area: "you MUST wear masks" None of the staff and non of the customers was wearing a mask, and this during Covid times - The front door to the street is broken, you have to use the entrance via the car park at night, which is very dark - None of the staff passed on the complaint to the duty manager. Front office manager promised a full point-refund and asked me to contact IHG, who than promised me a partial refund of points I was looking forward to get home and have a shower and a good night sleep, which I didn't get at the hotel.

As a visitor, the staff were very helpful, polite and accommodating. There is ample room to sit comfortably and comply with social distancing in the newly revamped cafe and dining area which has a clean, fresh and stylish look. The bar is open 24hrs for those whom are guests which serves a variety of beverages including Starbucks. There are public transport routes nearby with the train station 0.8 miles away, regular buses into the town center and a taxi will cost under £10.

We booked a two night stay with a birthday voucher we had been given for our 50/60 Birthdays from our children. This is non refundable. We booked an Executive Room which I believe is second from the top room available. On arrival we pulled up into a small car park, it was dark but the hotel was even darker. We actually worried it was closed. Turns out we had missed the ‘proper entrance’. Once we found that it was more welcoming lit by the biggest holly tree we’ve ever seen. Reception was as pictured. Checked into our room. Small fridge, completely warm. Never chilled down and the complimentary bottles of water remained warm. Bathroom….. all glass. With a huge gap under the door, like a changing room door. Absolutely no privacy at all. We asked if all the rooms were like this and told they were. Water pressure is a dribble, so hard to wash your hands or clean your teeth. Large TV, comfortable bed. But pillows were like sleeping on concrete. So bad my Husband actually had a painful neck the next day. We settled down to sleep around 11.30pm. Once the TV was switched off all we could hear was the sound of a plane landing above. Rang down to ask if the fans in the kitchen had been left on. Apparently not. This went on all night. We were on the top floor, we found out the next day there’s fans above us on the flat roof, so our ceiling. Then our neighbours came back. We listened to the lady being sick for the next hour. We heard everything, absolutely no sound proofing between rooms. TV one side until early hours, sick the other. This confused us as there was only 6 cars in the car park. Why on earth were we all right next door to each other? Spread guests out when you have so many empty rooms! The light control panel makes a squealing noise too and has a bright blue light. This is remedied by taking the key card out, but your sockets turn off too so no phone charging overnight! No overnight trips to loo either, as the light wakes up the whole room through the glass. We complained the next day, asked to be moved. The lady on reception was so helpful but we got the impression these were frequent complaints. The next room was in the old part. We walked in, less glazed walls to the bathroom, but still no privacy. Then we heard the guest above, walk across the very squeaky floor, pick up his phone and have a 20 min conversation for which we could hear every word. We went back to reception at 10am and checked out. We lost the money for the second night. No offer of compensation. Breakfast was adequate. Sausages were undercooked, been deep fried so not cooked in the middle. Most off putting paper signs everywhere telling guests not to ask for this or that, don’t do this, don’t do that. Don’t ask for a plate. Don’t ask for cutlery. All seemed a bit Fawlty Towers. Wouldn’t go back.

Hotel was very nice. Lighting in the room wasn't bright had to light my room up through the glass wall from the bathroom. Otherwise there is a green strip light that just makes it all green. Staff was friendly and helpful

They claim to be pet friendly. Which they are not. They claim this because they allow service dogs to stay.Considering it is the law that you cant refuse a service dog this does not make you pet friendly. So if you have dogs dont waste your time booking. Find another holiday inn that really is pet friendly.
