The Clove is under new management and they are every bit as good as the previous owners. They have made a few subtle changes, all good. The service was excellent as was all of the various foods we had. Will continue to use it as our favour Indian. Thank you for a perfect evening.

I had the non vegetable thali dish reshmi kebab and mixed starter. Beautiful very good food and amazing friendly service from the waiter.Prices are well below average for an Indian restaurant and brilliant if your a customer but have told restaurant to put their prices up . They haven’t put up for years they say !!!Thanks to the clove for great food.

Not sure about the man on TripAdvisor that complains he wasn’t given a solo table. I just had a lovely meal in there on my own and have booked for table of 2 for next Monday night . The restaurant were very accommodating. The waiter was exceptionally kind and friendly and chatty. The food was very good, nicely laid out and tasty too. All drinks and food came out very promptly and within a reasonable time. The reshmi kebab was very nice too. Some customers just too fussy and want too much from a small business. If there was anything to complain about trust me I would be the first to do that. Will be back next week for a nice quiet evening in this cosy restaurant. VERY GOOD RESTAURANT ?

We often dine here or get a takeaway. The service is always friendly and efficient. The space for the restaurant itself is quite small so I would advise booking in advance if you want to dine in. It's also worth being aware that they don't supply highchairs for little diners, but you could always bring your own booster seat or let them eat in the pushchair. The food is always superb and that's what keeps us coming back.

I visited this restaurant with friends for a “catch up” meal. Firstly, some of the last reviews say it’s the best Indian in Swanley however that isn’t hard to win as this restaurant is probably the only one now considering the others have closed down/knocked down so that wouldn’t be accurate to comment on. We arrived at our booked table at 7pm. The restaurant was busy with people also coming and going a lot to collect takeaways, however that wasn’t too much of an issue. I found the restaurant was very smart with how they operate. An example being is how long it takes for the staff to take your order and also the time is takes for the food to arrive. So we arrived at 7pm and ordered our food at 8pm. The food then arrived around 9pm. The restaurant was that busy where the orders wouldn’t of took that long and it felt that it was all part of the “order more drinks” as the staff are constantly at your table asking if you want more drinks which is smart, yet annoying but be mindful of that. The food was nice however when it did eventually arrive and i have no complaints about that. It was a bit pricey however and the staff were genuinely friendly and you also receive a “complimentary drink” when you have paid your bill. Would i go back? Yeah probably as the food was nice but i would just be mindful of the service and order more quickly.

The Clove Tandoori is a great option for a casual Indian meal in Swanley. The menu features a wide variety of dishes, including both meat and vegetarian options. The food is always fresh and flavorful, and the service is friendly and attentive. The restaurant is also reasonably priced, making it a great value for the money.

Seriously the best Indian around by far!! We literally do not go anywhere else! Every single person is so friendly always asking how our children are and family etc. Atmosphere so comfortable exactly what you want.
Had a great time. Staff friendly, best meal by far. Will go again, would recommend to anyone.

5 members of my family came to the Clove today 14 January 2023 to celebrate our youngest brothers birthday. Generally the food was good. However, being vegetarian, I ordered Saag Paneer. Sadly there was no paneer in the meal. When I informed the waiter of this he said that this was English paneer which does not exist. If I'm in an Indian restaurant I expect proper paneer rather than "English cheese". I am disappointed that a good evening was spoiled by this second rate dish. We visited the restaurant this evening for our annual Christmas celebrations. Let me start, by emphasising that the food was amazing. We give our credits to the chef. However, when my friend booked the table for the evening, the waiter on the phone appeared rude. This was not a good start.When we arrived at the restaurant, we felt quite rushed with ordering our food. Towards the end of the meal we payed promptly but decided to stay for a little longer. When I ordered a final alcoholic drink, I was informed by the waiter that when I finished this drink, we needed to leave the restaurant. I have not ever been asked to vocate a restaurant before!Now I understand that the table may have been required for another party but we had pre-booked this table & the restaurant were still accepting our payment re - I had ordered an alcholic beverage. But to be told that we could no longer sit at the pre-booked table was unacceptable & frankly very rude. I myself will not be returning & I'm sure the other ladies would agree.It is such a shame as the food was amazing!
