Visited here on a Saturday lunchtime before setting off on a Shepherd Neame walk. We were a table of four and we all enjoyed our food. Everything was genuinely homemade and delicious, great menu and the puddings were heavenly ? The pub had a great atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and welcoming, it was busy but not too full, and lovely and cosy with a lit fire. Thank you for a great experience.

Friends bought us here last night and we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, the staff were all very friendly and the food was perfect. We did have to wait a while for our mains but we were told it was a new chef, it was definitely worth the wait. Wish we lived local to become regulars.

Fabulous Christmas Lunch - just home from a really lovely experience. A real fun event with excellent food, drink and great service . A friendly atmosphere with lovely staff who embraced the entire ‘event’. Delicious well cooked food which was hard to fault and plentiful . Generous food and alcoholic refreshment, i’m hard to please and found this excellent - thank you Carpenters Arms - Happy New Year :D

Visited for a friend’s birthday. This was our 2nd time eating at the pub and we are already booked in for NYE. That should tell you how much we like the Carpenters Arms. The pub is cosy with open fires and the staff are really welcoming and friendly. Food is great. Portion sizes are good and reasonably priced. They run a transfer service which is great if you all want a drink as the pub is in the countryside. The pub is also dog friendly. Roll on NYE ?

What a lovely pub (they had a nice open fire!) and delicious food and delightful service. We went for their pie and pint night and we were stuffed. Good generous portions - steak and guiness was crammed with meat and the fish pie had loads of fish. The rest of the menu looked equally delicious and a nice desert selection. There is also a bar area where you can and have a further drink after! We will be back.

Had a fantastic meal,great service and very friendly.This was a trip with my father whom is 90 and the Carpenters Arms was his local when he was young being born up the road.I have a photo of him when he was about 20 outside the pub and took another today to try and replicate the picture. The landlady even showed us some old pictures from the pub which my father could recognise some of the people from around the 1950.s.Thank you.

Fabulous last minute decision to visit our local for food for the 1st time since being under new management. Wow! Food excellent, service great, friendly and timely! Recommend the scotch egg and the beer battered cod loin and chips! Great choice of desserts - bigger portions please but only because that’s my favourite bit of the meal!! Will most definitely be back and will be recommending to friends and family! Good to have the hub of the village up and running again.

Our son and daughter-in-law's wedding was held here, the venue is beautiful, the staff were fantastic, the food was excellent,we had already had a lunchtime meal there as well which I have to say was just brilliant and we will be going back again
