An excellent pub that is clean throughout, even the toilets.Food was tasty, staff were attentive and friendly.

If the ales weren't London prices, I would have given it 2 stars. Nice pub decor wise but feel its missing that local feel. Missing friendliness, personality and banter behind the bar and considering it's a freehold, the ale is way over priced. Feel owners better suited in a town bar rather than a quirky little town like Barlick sorry. Nb. If a pub has friendly cracking folk behind the bar, I'll generally do my best to give 5 stars.
Stayed in the area last week for a night and decided to try here for dinner. Cracking pub with friendly locals, good beer, and the food was superb. Steak and ale pie was one of the best I've ever had, and as a bonus, great value.The owners have apparently only been in for 9 months....great job. Well done.
