We love The Punch Bowl! It is located in the next village to us so quite local and we visit quite often. Never have we ever had a bad meal; always delicious! Portions are huge (even with the BOGOF offer!)Parking is free and plenty of room, a small outdoor play area that keeps our daughter entertained whilst waiting for dinner and it always feels clean and airy.The staff are probably one of the best things about this place. Always friendly, helpful and courteous.We don't usually book but we have been very lucky at times to get in as it can get quite busy.We would definitely recommend a visit for a really good hearty meal with a wonderful welcome.

First visit to this pub I would highly recommend it for something to eat.The staff are very welcoming and friendly if you have a dog there so good with them the give you a bowl of water for your dog.Well worth a visitParking: Plenty of parking places

We were a group of 6 ladies dining.Had the Christmas Menu 3 courses, not 1 of us could fault any part of the meal. It was piping hot and staff were happy to bring us extra sauces.Some of us enjoyed the mulled wine too ?

Today, we had lunch at a favourite old haunt of mine.It's like a fine whisky it just gets better and better with age.Beautiful decor, all decorated for Christmas, lovely and warm with the fire lit .Good selection of cask ales,bar plentifulSpoilt for choice, really.Food amazing, service spot on ,good atmosphere,A good day all round .
Passed the Punch Bowl lots of times but this time called in for Sunday lunch and not disappointed, A warm welcome and nicely decorated bar and dining area. Lunch did not disappoint well cooked and plenty of it so we couldn't manage a desert. Recommended.

Service good..however food poor! Lamb shank not quite cooked! Smothered in a foul tasting sauce .as if a jar of cheap vinegared mint sauce had been just poured over it .. ruined everything! Vegetables..medley.. were they cooked at all ? Cabbage and carrots raw with a few just unfrozen peas! Inedible and cold. Mashed potatoes lumpy with hard uncooked bits ...cold to boot! Other meals similarly poor!! Waste of money ..don't bother!

Visited on Thursday for Pie Night & it exceeded my expectations! 2 pies plus a drink each for £20, great value for money! I had the Meat & Potato and my partner had the Cheese & Onion Pie, we both thoroughly enjoyed it and great portion sizes! We enjoyed it that much we have also booked for next Thursday to make the most of the offer! Would highly recommend!

After seeing the advertisement on FB for the pie night showing delicious meals we decided to give it a try 1. We were served with the wrong drinks including cloudy beer 2. Wrong pies served with beans when peas had been requested. One swimming in gravy when no gravy requested 3 Pies nothing like the illustration. They were an insult to school dinners 4, cold pies 5. We were offered a free coffee due to our disappointing experience. We don’t drink coffee no other incentive offered 6. Spoken to by the manager who asked us to keep the experience quiet and we can have a free dessert at our next visit 7. Construction feedback given on FB only to be remove and then to be blocked from the page 8 I will not be returning so no dessert required To conclude the most awful meal I have every had and dismal customer service skills
