I booked afternoon tea here after my lad bought a gift voucher for my wife. Having food intolerances isn't easy, especially finding afternoon tea that can accommodate our specific needs! from the first minute we were made welcome, our intolerances to certain food types was acknowledged (I'd already checked beforehand) and when the individual teas arrived, they were perfectly presented and 100% compliant to each of our needs. The chefs deserve immense credit for producing such tasty and varied selection of food that perfectly matched our needs. As far as afternoon tea goes it was right up there among the best, factor in our dietary needs and it's hard to believe it could have been done any better! Loved it!

We came here for breakfast and it was great.We were sat down and had an offer of tea or coffee and got to choose from a varied menu with items such as all day breakfasts, eggs benidict, kippers and your standard bacon/sausage/egg on toast and more.While you are waiting you also have the offer of cereals, toasts, pastries and juices.The staff were really friendly and couldn't do anything more for you. Also I have to mention that the cleaner there was doing an excellent job, I've never seen someone do such a thorough job!!Also visited for Sunday lunch and wowwww. The beef dinner was great, so much option on your plate it was unreal! Definitely would recommend coming here

Had a lovely lunch, we had the steak ciabatta and cheese pie,the steak ciabatta was the best he had ever eaten! thick steak perfectly cooked with tasty mushrooms and a lovely relish and the cheese pie was delicious, really enjoyed it, clearly good chefs and nice friendly staff.

Food was exceptional, we stayed at the adjoining hotel and enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast and dinner, was very nice and only got 1 photo of the black puddingsKid-friendliness: We had our 3 children present, fairly young and everyone was very accommodating for them, despite them laying on the floor eating garlic pizza ?♂️

The beer isn't looked after at all. Really is a terrible pint. Had to resort to orange and lemonade. Very limited choice of beer aswell , not even got a bitter.

Coffee served in very big thick mugs, I don't like that. I think after a big meal a cup of coffee is enough. I wished I had ordered an espresso.

Absolutely spectacular Christmas Day meal. 6 of us ate a delicious 5 course meal in great surroundings. The Artisan team were great hosts and the atmosphere top notch. We’ll be back in 2024 for sure.
