“We had a lovely Afternoon Tea with Bubbles.. a gift from my son and his wife for Christmas 2021.. yes 2021.. we finally got around to booking it.. and we were not disappointed.. greeted with a lovely glass of prosecco with a raspberry garnish.. followed by the AT.. adorned with a cup of soup.. carrot & coriander, a lovely slice of a sausage roll/wellington fusion, freshly prepared 'crust-off' sandwiches, ham & tomato, egg, chicken with a tarragon (?) mayo.. a pepper and salsa wrap. Then cake.. a dainty portion of carrot cake, Bakewell and a chocolate cake. Next was a lovely fresh currant scone with ample servings of cream and jam in their individual pots. This was accompanied by a very nice pot of tea each.. altogether a genteel and delicious, perhaps (for us, with the bubbles).. decadent experience.I can honestly say that the quantity of food served is ample.. we both felt we had had a hearty delicious meal.My favourite... has to be the sausage roll/wellington thingy.. Mmm ?”
