Hi I have been to Roebuck many times as I stay locally in a b and b.Latest visit 09/03/24 .Food and service good. However presentation of drinks not good.Pink gin lemonade x 2 served in a large tumbler couldn't taste any gin.Complained received them then in small tumbler .Apparently only 1 gin glass in pub.Other than slice lemon no other fruit added.Brockmans ordered also in a large tumbler. Our 2nd night we planned to visit for cocktails, however a cocktail is special and nicely decorated. After pink gins gave it a miss.So disappointing .

After walking nearly 20 miles from Lancaster we couldn't have had a warmer welcome from Aimee and her colleagues. We had an excellent Hunters style chicken and a steak, followed by a Green and Black's Special Hot Chocolate with orange liqueur which was devine. It was a Thursday evening around 8:00pm so pretty quiet which gave us time to chat to the staff a little. Despite living in Preston this was our first visit but it definitely won't be the last. We especially loved the photos of local scenes and landmarks some of which were harder to place than others. Would recommend!

We only wanted light bites and lunch, but limited Sunday menu for this.. however.. Service was unbelievable, very attentive from all members ... atmosphere was difficult to assess as it was quite quiet. We have stayed at the Premier Inn before, so have been in here previously and will do so again xParking: Parking is free, but as the property is on a bend... the car park is sometimes difficult to notice and manoeuvre into.

We stayed for breakfast. The food was freshly cooked to our liking. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service was lovely. Thank you Rachel.

The Roebuck is a fantastic venue hidden away by the canal in Barton. The venue is warm and cosy and decorated in a modern yet rustic fashion. The Roebuck benefits by being a smaller venue than some cavernous pub restaurants as the staff can be highly attentive and the same can be said about the menu, rather than pages upon pages of food options each dish appears to be hand selected and from what we had, will be of exceptional quality.I ordered the Sunday roast turkey and it was absolutely delicious. There was plenty of food without being overwhelming and each piece had been cooked to perfection. The goose fat and rosemary potatoes along with the roast parsnips and carrots were unbelievably tasty. I thoroughly recommend both the meal and the Roebuck.

Returned to The Roebuck today after the success of Christmas day… would it be as good ? Absolutely! I had the pork dinner and it was delicious There was no need to add any seasoning as it had been prepared to perfection To be honest … I wolfed it down it was so nice ….this little piggy needs to rest now before thinking of a dessert ?

This has been taken over and for the better. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was very nice with a good wide variety of choice for continental. You have a choice of what you want on the full English, very impress as from the last time we visited when we vowed we would not come again.

Went to the Roebuck with a few friends on Boxing Day, lovely food and really attentive staff who were fantastic with the whole table (picky eaters) and everything was spot on. Will be back soon
