The definition of a local institution. Cracking little pub. Maybe not the best beer you'll ever have but the atmosphere more than makes up for it. The landlord is really friendly and goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. Dog friendly. On National Cycle Route. On a bus route. Traditional local

I go to the 'Burners' 2-3 times a week. It's still in It's Victorian decor as the locals prefer. Good atmosphere and very friendly. First and third Wednesday of the month, there is a 'Music Night ' where varying musicians (mainly guitarists) get together and play a different selection of songs. They vary from newbies to semi professional. There are also quiz nights.Drinks are from cans to draught real ale. Food is not served other than crisps etc. Toilet facilities are exterior . A village pub without any frills. The village itself is a gem with a great populace that get together on numerous occasions to celebrate or lament ,

A great little local pub, good prices and great atmosphere. The owner is a farmer so hours are limited to evenings only but don't let this put you off. Live local folk music on the first and third Wednesday of the month for something different. A whole load of local history knowledge under one roof, well worth a visit.
I'm a regular whenever in the area. Traditional no frills local, beer always great and lots of conversations with the friendly locals.

Cosy little pub, friendly locals. Very old school, just what you want from a village local.

Great old fashioned pub, just like revisiting my youth and very enjoyable, should be more pubs like this.
