Boring. The beer was good but the barman was rude and unwelcoming just because I was louder than a whisper. Won't be going again. Not into drinking establishments where you have to whisper so as not to cause offence.

Rude staff called in with the wife as we where staying in carnforth told us we we’re not welcome. And local s where obviously welcome .

Nice little micropub set in Carnforth Railway Heritage Centre. Good selection of real ales which we sampled. Although not busy in the photo it soon had a few people in. We had a Good craic with the owner while we were there.

Walked in to be met by a man turning the open/closed sign around to “closed”. Continues to talk to the locals and take payments which I have no issues with as they are their bread and butter. However to be ignored and be told “we shut at 9” is just ignorant.Bearded chap behind the bar (sat drinking at the side of the bar) is as ignorant as I have ever met.I’m sure the beer is good, but if you’re not a regular give it a wide berth…

Pint of Hermit Crab & MagusBoth lovely ales. Good laugh with the staff & regulars. Shame we couldn't stop for more.

Excellent selection of real ales.friendly locals and staff . Great location if travelling by train especially as there is another real ale location on the opposite platform
Brilliant little pub at the station. Nice selection of good beers at good prices. Friendly and worth rocking up to ahead of your train if traveling. Worth going to regardless. Made what might have been a long soulless wait for my train a pleasure. Recommended without reservations.

Great pub to sit and watch the trains go by, beer was great as well, and it was definitely worth getting the later train!

If you like a uncomfortable place that's full of unfriendly men and sarcastic bar staff this is ideal .
