First visit today for lunch. The fish and chips was absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly staff and it was a really cosy environment. Will definitely be going again.

Enjoyed a wonderful birthday here. Fantastic service and impeccable food. The pub was pretty much perfect - cosy, no tvs, fantastic drink selection The room was on the small side and was fine for a night but would probably start to feel a bit claustrophobic for a longer stay. However the bed was incredibly comfortable and we didn't have the problems with road noise other reviewers have mentioned. The shower was also excellent with nice toiletries too. Was hoping for better walking from the door but that is a small gripe as the recent wet weather probably impacted that. Plus dog friendly. Would not hesitate to recommend The Fenwick.Food & drinks: Great selection of drinks and fantastic food. My partner raved about his steak and the fish specials were delicious. The kitchen bent over backwards to accommodate my allergy. Impressed.

We ate here for the first time this week on the recommendation of a friend and it didn't disappoint! Really friendly staff, nice cosy feel to the place and most importantly delicious food. We had 3 courses and we both thoroughly enjoyed every one of them. The braised beef and pot pie were particular highlights. We 100% intend to return soon.

Was not able to sleep from an alarm that kept going off during the night. Woke up at 1:30 am till the alarm was finally silenced at around 4:30 am . The room was too hot and the bedsheets/ duvet were not helping. I was drenched in sweat in the morning and sleep deprived. Worst hotel experience I have ever had. I do not recommend this place.

But here goesThe food we ate was sadly mediocre, low light was the goats cheese toasted bloomer.On raising this politely with Scott the manager, he was utterly dismissive, “aw well I speak to the chef about it” in the scant moments he could steal from his mobile phone . No offer of recompense, apologies, interest even?Mediocre foodWhat’s going on with Scott?

We had a lovely meal in the bar. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed the whole experience. I had the beef Sunday dinner it was so beautifully cooked. My partner had the fish pie, which he thoroughly enjoyed. I'd definitely recommend this pub to anyone.

Lovely food but you get charged an extra 10% service charge onto your bill at the end... for them to deliver the food to your table! So feel conned. Well my partner does, cause he paid!
Good clean, great staff.Food menu lists items not served initially.ie no egg with the club sandwich. No celery, no crackers, and only 2 cheese types on the cheese board selection.Accomodation really good.Can hear main road traffic, not disturbed during the night though.Not very accessible with stairs to most accomodation. No ramps.Breakfast was super!Food & drinks: Great food, quite expensive, some items not served as listed on the menu.
