Visited after reading good reviews already. Glad we did as it didn't disappoint. Food was excellent and fresh, pricing very competitive. Service was excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend John's Friary to everyone who enjoys visiting Fleetwood.

Excellent Fish & Chips. The best we have had in years. We live in Norfolk, plenty of great chippies, but this was exceptional. The curry sauce was also splendid.

I can quite honestly say this was the worst we've ever had. The battered sausages were anaemic the batter stuck to the paper and was soggy and still floury one side. The chips were soggy and I'm afraid a few chips had an old earthy taste to them and the pie was something I would expect from a happy shopper, but it was warm. No, we won't be repeating the experience, sorry.

Dont buy here unless your wealthy, prices are bad, chips weren't even cooked and the fish tasted like it had probably been caught on chatty beach months ago. NEVER AGAIN. Avoid.
Utterly disgusting having a chip shop open to be told can't be served as doing a private function for over 100 people and no signs anywhere and the door open, and who charges £ 3.75 for just a bag of chips.. "SHOCKING" Will never use this place again.

Genuinely one of the best chippys I’ve ever had! Chips were free from grease, and the batter on the sausages was crispy and fresh. Really great food and highly recommended! Just a shame they aren’t open late during the week.

Normally the best chippy in Fleetwood. I called at 18.15 to be told they didn’t have any chips left. I left as well as a couple that where in front of me. This is not an isolated incident, as it has happened to me at least twice before at lunch time & tea time. Hope someone can get it sorted before they loose more customers.
