After eating at the equivalent restaurant in Exmouth earlier this year, our hopes for a decent dining experience were hanging by a thread as the service at the Exmouth mash and barrel was simply dreadful. I'm glad we tried again as the food and service at the Fleetwood branch is night and day. We arrived and we're greeted by a friendly, smiling face, taken to a table and informed of the ordering process. We ordered at the table and paid there and then. 10 minutes later, our food arrives. Everything was piping hot and tasted lovely. No complaints here. If only the other mash and barrels were like Fleetwood.

Everything was straight out of a microwave except the fries which looked liked they were re fried from earlier, the curry was watery and bland the kids spaghetti was watery and the pasta was well past aldentay, atleast season your steaks and rest them a little you have a serious lack.of

Waiting 20 mins longer than anyone on my table for my pudding, my sister went to ask and got handed this with 'it's just been sat on the pass' Tiny, cold and stodgy, there it no crumble or raspberries. They brought the ice cream to go with it 20 mins before and it was melted. Why they wouldn't remake it is beyond me. There's no crumble at all. Didn't have time to complain and wait for another. Potatoes in the mash were raw, notnjust lumpy and the gravy was water. Half the chips were black and the veg was overcooked and black through them. Won't be eating here again ? waste of money. Avoid.

Came here with my partner during the day and we ordered a burger through the app. Everything seemed fine until we got desserts. We actually returned later in the day to get dessert.Sadly this is where I was gobsmacked at the "supervisor"My partner found an insect crawling amongst the ramekin of strawberries served on the side of the sharer sundae.Brought this to the attention of the girl behind the bar who said she would go speak to the kitchen and supervisor.20 mins later, the supervisor arrives and first question he asks was "what seems to be the problem"Weren't you made aware of our situation? And yet the server who accompanied him said the whole kitchen seen the insect... Solution was a refund of which still hasn't been received.Highly recommend avoiding this place for food. Whole team of staff doesn't seem professional, supervisor seemed out of depth and lacked any sort of empathy or understanding.As an ex chef and business owner of an award winning company, this whole situation could've been avoided if the chefs were more attentive. How hard is it to ensure strawberries are washed and cleaned, god knows what else this place has to offer that's unhygienic.

Quite possibly the worst meal I have ever eaten in my life. Currently at the haven campsite with my partner and our daughter. We went tonight to try it, I had hunters chicken I usually love it, I got a few mouthfuls in when I thought this doesn't taste right. Tried a couple more, the bacon was grey. 100% gone off out of date bacon it was absolutely vile. The chips were soggy the coleslaw was vile the whole meal was an absolute waste of money hardly anything eaten. I cannot stress enough how much I would not recommend this place . I would recommend you don't go here. The waiting staff were great but the young girls serving at the bar were so rude , no manners and could not care less about customer service. 0/10 would not recommend.

Whole experience started well, lovely waitress showed us to our table. Food was ordered through the app which was quick and easy to do. Starters arrived with the main meal, but not really a problem. Went down hill when ordering desserts. Our older daughter ordered dessert separately on the app and this arrived quite quickly and despite her dessert spoon being thrown down on the table they enjoyed their desserts. I however order the rest of the families desserts also on the app 1 minute after my older daughter and ended up waiting 40+ mins. When they arrived the churros and pancakes were cold, the ice cream was a melted mess. Really disappointed with the service and standards considering the high costs of the meal.

Shocking place to eat, still charge full price for food such as big breakfast when items are missing such as hash browns, no fruit for granola, you ask them why is the reason and they cant give you an answer in my opinion completeley rubbish and the staff are obnoxious, if your going to act like that dont work in hospitality, i would of sacked most of you guys the managers really need to review there staff.
