Simon is a truly talented chef … his attention to flavour building is outstanding with ech course perfectly balanced. I love the limited numbers as this creates a very personal dinning experience. I was driving so didn’t get to enjoy the wine option … won”t make that mistake for my next visit. It was privilege to eat here. Highly recommend a visit.

Wow !! The most amazing dining experience we’ve ever experienced. Steven is a supremely talented young chef, the service food and overall dining experience were second to none. 5 hours flew by, we arrived at 6pm a little early for our dinner but that didn’t matter. We had a drink by the fire and were then just entertained for the whole evening with culinary delights and paired wines. Wholeheartedly recommended!!

Went for my birthday treat on a Wednesday before xmas. We had booked the Chefs Table so was expecting a special evening but how surprised we were to find that we were about to experience a phenomenal evening. Both Steven,the chef and Tim the mate d’/his dad were warm, welcoming, professional and friendly throughout. The meals were exceptional, great quality ingredients and variety. The wine flight was a treat also Steven is very knowledgeable about all the courses and wines. We were there over 3 hours but this flew by with a good paced menu and excellent dining companions ( Sarah and Terry) . If you are not sure this is your thing, reconsider as this was the best meal in the most unique environment I have had in a long time.

A delightful evening in the company of a talented young chef preparing magnificent tasty food made more amazing by the fact that he works largely by himself making the feast. Well executed dishes, super flavours - total wow factor. Easily michelin starred standard food but with a personal touch. A must to visit

Felt like Royalty from the start..Every course was special in its own way and just when you think you've eaten the tastiest course you get a better one..Four hours went like the wind..Stephen and his Dad provided great conversation and great insight in to Gourmet food..if you have a special occasion coming up just book..don't hesitate

Outstanding food, all freshly prepared, from a fantastically talented Chef. The tasting menu was innovative and every course was superb with a great depth of flavour which sang on your tongue.

This was a delightful evening. Sat at the chef's table to watch the cooking and chat with Steven, 4.5 hours and it was terrific. The food, taste, presentation perfect. Although 4.5 hours, it went really fast.Steven even went to the trouble to source a bottle of alcohol free red wine for us.Is a special occasion place but will definitely return.

Visited again with friends and not disappointed. The food is absolutely second to none. A taste sensation and a must if you appreciate excellent food and drink. We will definitely return.

This is fine dining. Each dish was outstanding. The wine pairing was clever and each wine was a winner. It’s an intimate setting. Just 4 tables of 2 ( we had 2 tables together ) The chef is definitely one to watch. I suggest trying it before it becomes to popular to get a table.

What a fantastic find by our friends Dee and Gray, nothing too much trouble, made to feel very welcome and charming interaction.The food and drink are Absolutely amazing, along with the attention to detail which is second to none.It was so good we booked again, before finishing the meal.@michelinguide you have to book into this restaurant as this chef makes the grade by miles.See you in October.Parking: The are a number of car parks in the area

Less than 30 minutes from the M6, this unassuming restaurant is the business. Booking is essential, the 10 course tasting menu was absolutely perfect, so too the choice of beers. Highlights include the Pork & Smoked Leaves main and Brioche, Cucumber and Apple dessert. Chapeau Steven - a most enjoyable evening.

A truly wonderful experience. Steven is a fantastic chef and host. His creations were divine, each as beautiful and tasty as the next, winding through 9 courses of utterly gorgeous and mouthwatering dishes (all apparently forever changing). The drinks journey was a nice change from a usual wine pairing, with a variety of different to compliment the dishes. Tipping this from great to excellent was Steven himself; sitting at the chef's table, being able to interact with him as he artfully constructed each dish really raised this above the traditional experience. We were able to ask so much about the dishes, the methods, Steven's story - all were patiently, humbly and charmingly relayed to us. A fantastic evening. I can't recommend enough. If you can afford to treat yourself, just go. You won't regret it. We will be back!

We went for my birthday not knowing what to really expect. We booked for the chef's table. This is a very intimate dining experience with, at the moment, only six covers per night. What you get it, besides amazing food, is a first hand experience of the preparation and cooking of it. If you are thinking it might be for you then just book it. I don't think you will be disappointed. We certainly will be talking about it for years to come.
