We ordered a take out from here, one of the dishes arrived with very little meat in it, called them to ask to replace it and the manager was so defensive and rude and wouldn’t listen Avoid like the plague

There I said it , best curry in lancaster, trust me I’ve had a few not just here but in the surrounding area and nothing compares to this place. I’ve tried it a couple of times , once drunk and once sober(last night) and both times I couldn’t fault the experience. greeted very nicely at the door and during the stay nothing was too much trouble for the staff, all were happy to have a chat and give recommendations based on preferences. Massive portions which we all struggled to finish. Do yourself a favour next time you’re in Lancaster give it a go, you won’t be disappointed!

Went here not having booked. Had couple of hours before our train. Helpful to start. Got us a table and drinks and ordered quite quick. Drinks and starters arrived quickly but then no main. We had to ask for the bill for starters and drinks so we could go for the train so no mains were had. 2 hours we were there. Starters were good. Service not so good.

I recently visited Bombay Balti along with my friends. Fair to say it was the worst dining experience of my life. We waited for a hour and a half for our order to be prepared. On being asked regarding the delay, one of the senior staff members replied rather rudely as if he was standing in his dad’s backyard. If I had to choose between standing at gunpoint or visiting the restaurant again, I will definitely choose the former.

Ordered today . Decent enough but the food was poor .The curries ( lamb rogan Josh & Dupiaza) were too oily with a splash of small bits of lamb swimming amongst the accompanying sauce viz, cost cutting .The taste of the curry itself was mild and lacked potency and depth . It was rather bland and unexciting and hence totally forgettable.The onion Bhaji starter was extremely oily with artificial colouring, ie, gross . The lamb samosas were surprisingly tasty but again too oily - which is atrocious in the context of today’s uk with its discerning and health conscious , dining public . These sort of eateries need to evolve but many like this one are ostensibly still stuck in the past . It’s lazy and obtuse.Synopsis : I wouldn’t recommend the establishment and I would alas not return .
This was our first visit after being recommended by friends and we weren't disappointed. The restaurant was extremely clean, lovely decor, floors were also clean, no food debris ? The staff were extremely friendly, chatty, clean looking, and worked as a team, helping each other bring food out. The portions were generous, yummy on the eyes, and our plates came out hot!!! That's an extra bonus in my book. We were table checked more than once, but we were more than happy with everything. When visiting again this is our go to place. The toilet was also extremely clean, hand soap etc was full.
