Fantastic New Years Eve party. As ever, the hosts could not do enough for everyone to make it a special night! The evening entertainment and food was second to none! What a wonderful community pub. Joanne and Andy own and run this wonderful pub and eatery and the meet and greet reception from Joanne, makes everyone feel at home. This delightful pub is hidden away at the top end of Bowerham Rd. and offers wonderful home cooked meals at superb prices. The menu offers all the pub classics and Andy offers his personal touch with his freshly prepared salads, which are so delicious. Christmas at the Fox and Goose is special, so special that you have to make advance bookings!!! Joanne prides herself on her presentation of the tables, which are fabulous and Andy prides himself on the presentation of the food, what a fab pair.!!! New Years Eve is a must (if you are lucky to secure a table) food, live music, fun, fun, at such a reasonable price. Joanne and Andy you are a legend. Long may we continue to spending time in your lovely pub xxx

My 5 year old and I happened across this pub after a long walk on a hot day. We were served quickly with a cold drink and shown where the small outside kids play area was much to my little ones delight. We ended up staying for food which we really enjoyed. The kids pizza looked like fresh home made dough which was lovely. I had a beef salad which was delicious! Beef was so soft and tender and the salad was refreshing and had a lovely variety of components. Food reasonably priced and friendly welcoming service. Relaxing and quiet atmosphere. Hope to return when in the area again.

Not a great experience, I found the staff very cold, unfriendly and the food wasn't to my liking, frozen scampi and chips that were too dry. Food thrown on the table when served with little customer service.

Lovely clean pub , excellent food and really generous portions . Joanne the land lady is always really welcoming and can’t do enough for you . The salads are delicious and always really fresh. Been here for events , Christmas dinners , and pub lunches and always a high standard . The Xmas meals are lovely , always fresh flowers and lovely dressed tables and food is excellent value for money. Play area outside for children to play in . Lovely local pub , highly recommend :)
