Absolutely life changing experience. If you are in the area, and you don’t come here, what are you doing??? If you are in the UK even, you should come to Lancaster solely for this shop. Coming from London, I have never been to a food shop that can literally blow my mind away with the food and make me feel so comforted and nostalgic. This food is chefs kiss??, the portions will make your heart smile, and the service is top notch

The service at this place is amazing, The staff and people there are always welcoming and polite. The food there is really good probably the best place in lancaster and in the uni. As a student I go here very frequently and have always been treated

The lancaster uni campus sultans is amazing! Always open after a night out and more than happy to welcome us in and have a laugh while we get our food. The food is amazing and always such big portions for the price. Lovely food and lovely people who are always giving back!

I initially tried the Sultan of Lancaster experience on Caton Rd. However, that does not open until 4 pm on a Sunday. Therefore, we had lunch at the Sultan of Lancaster located in the university. Parking is an issue as it's located in the middle of the complex. Atmosphere wise, we found the place a little cold, considering that it was raining outside. We placed our orders and were served papadoms and chutney whilst we waited. Orders were nice and hot. Portions were very generous. Pricing was fair. Would definitely visit again.Parking: There is a fee to pay.

Well first time here and WOW. The staff greeted us in a welcoming and pleasant way. Didn't take to long to come and take are order either. we ordered a few different dishes to share between 3. we started with poppadoms and chutneys and they were good. the mains biryani and the balti curry was very flavorsome and plenty to go round. the chips and rice just perfect too. The Nan bread was one of the best i have had in a long time. And lets not forget the venue (An old church) very good. Staff couldn't do enough for us and very pleasant too. We are not locals but i would travel back for this sort of service and quality. Ash was the perfect gentleman too. WE will be back in the near future for some more fine dining. Thank you for your great hospitality. If you're unsure on this place try it you wont be dissapointed.

If you want taste explosion without the unpleasant heat this is the place to be. We came here on 3rd Feb after booking a table for 2 for my husband's birthday ( we're staying at Lancaster house for the weekend). The building itself (an old methodist church) makes for a really unique experience, but this means no alcohol is served on the premises, but please don't let that put you off. We had a jug of mango lassi which added to the whole amazing experience and was a wonderful addition to what I can only describe as the most wonderful combination of spices and flavours that made you want to keep eating even when your full. Will definitely be back on our next visit. Totally amazing experience.Carol and Dave from Sheffield

A restaurant lacking in atmosphere and warmth…. and customers …. A place which is a shadow of its former self , clearly struggling to compete with Lancaster’s student takeaway culture but doing little to rise to the challenge . With change of management years ago the impressive looking menu was retained but standards seemingly abandoned …. Too much competition around to operate on that mundane level …. Star of the evening - a decent garlic naan…. That’s about it …
