Visited as a group of 15, and wow, if you like rude patronising waiters, this is the place for you! The food was average, the sticky pudding was a bit like concrete, we sent one back, and the one that came out was just as bad.We had mostly preordered, and staff brought out dishes and said the wrong thing multiple times, e.g., cheesecake (was actually tiramisu), of course it was not the staffs fault. The bald waiter was incredibly rude and patronising throughout, I suspect he thought he was funny, but he really wasn't.My first and last visit!

quite disappointed me and my girlfriend have just come for a meal and as we got to our table one of the waiters (bald quite tall glasses around 60) walked over my girlfriends toes who’s just in sliders really hurting her toes and he just walked past didn’t say sorry when he acknowledged he walked on her toes, ordered drinks and food and the food came before the drinks about 20 minutes later so i had to ask him where are our drinks, got our food which is quite average food, ordered another drink from the same guy and he rolled his eyes at me, another 20 minutes later i stil haven’t got my drink, he then comes over and says are we all finished, and i said i asked you for a drink and he said oh yes and went to get me it, overall quite disappointed and very disappointed in the waiter with his service for taking ages getting out drinks when he wasn’t busy at all just wondering around , walking on my girlfriends toes and forgetting that i’ve asked him for another drink.

Do not eat here, calamari was bland, no seasoning whatsoever in the batter and slightly overcooked. The steaks were all not cooked as specified. The pan was clearly not hot enough as no colouration on the steak. However the service was very good from the waitress we had and she tried hard to take care of us. The Chefs are clearly undertrained and lacking in food knowledge.

Food was really lovely. Service was alright but the food took so long to come. We were also told that we had to leave by 1.30.Bowls had a few cracks/chips on them too.Would go back though.
We took our grandchildren here for early evening meal during happy hour as we have done on many occasions, the service we received was of the highest order, nothing was too much trouble, the food, as always, cooked perfectly, brilliant selection and great value for money, as a group with young children the staff were attentive and helped the kids with their orders and couldn’t be more helpful Would highly recommend the Cornerhouse and we will be back again soon ?

My partner booked a table for the two of us for tonight Friday 12th January for 7pm When we got there he said there wasn’t any room in the restaurant and we would have to sit in a booth in the bar area . We got a drink snd sat down I wasn’t happy with the situation, I went to the toilet through the restaurant looking around there were four empty tables. Why couldn’t we have had one of those has we had booked.! Very disappointed in the way it was dealt with. We ending up walking out without eating. This is the second incident we have come across with this restaurant. ?

Came here New Year’s Eve for food and drinks. Food was lovely and good price. Service was fab and staff were very friendly. Nice atmosphere for New Year’s Eve. Thank you

My meal was enjoyable I had steak but my parents didn’t enjoy there’s they had butternut squash spinach goats cheese in a sauce in a pie my mums pastry was hard. A difficult to cut there was no sauce and very little goats cheese on a positive note the server was friendly helpful

As a party of 11 we had to preorder. This was fine as our food was all ready at the same time. We didn't feel rushed though and the service was really good and the food was hot. There was plenty of choice for all of us from the grandchildren to grandparents.
