Popped in today (26th) for coffee and cake.Coffee usual high standard. If I visit Lancaster this tends to be the cafe I head to. Cafe is part of Atkinsons coffee so the quality of coffee is consistently goodIt's hidden away in the city centre and is a nice little place to just sit and relaxIt can get busy as it was today with only one member of staff there who managed to calmly and professionally hold the fort

When about to start a shift at samaritans, I called in to get a drink for myself and my partner. Bearing in mind that we were due to be coming out of lockdown in a matter of weeks, they were beyond awkward at accepting a £10 note which had just been got out of a cashpoint and therefore had been isolated in line with covid regs and giving the change. Not everyone has access to a card as I didn't as my account had been hacked. I shan't be returning

The restaurant is just amazing, clean, and very fancy, perfect for a date night, or a quiet evening with friends around a good meal. The staff is very friendly and professional. The food is excellent, and very delicious. If there are more stars, I should discern 10.Grazie mille

Small, local cafe serving a range of coffees, teas & home made cakes including gluten free choices. Great atmosphere, in the old Music Room overlooking historic Sun Street, friendly staff. Inside or outside seating, one of the best in Lancaster

We have had many meals from here takeaway during lockdown and before that, must say consistently great and super service. Food is always authentic and really good choices. Must say the carbonara has been something we’ve particularly enjoyed during lockdown and the lamb dish was always a favourite when the restaurant side was open

Birthday Brunch.... Mrs and I... great service from walking in ...not been for a few years.....full breakfast was great, quality bacon (guessing from Countrystyle meats), let down by Warbies medium sliced toast and Bookers tomato ketchup sachets!!! Why? £9.50? Really? I would’ve paid £10.50 gladly , with decent toast ......Filberts Artisan Bakers; 200 yds away ......get into bed with them and take a simple step to change the offer... Toast was no different to the Old Bell Cafe!!? You got no complaints and got tipped on service....but won’t be coming back .... Trying to keep it local, please don’t take the P

Choose cheeses and meat on a board, it was nice, the wine was okay if not a little overpriced for what it was, second glass was nicer, so assume that was from an unopened bottle.

After watching my son play football for school away in Lancaster one Saturday morning on a cold windy January morning we headed off into Lancaster to find suitable sustenance. A colleague at work had recommended the sun cafe and I’m so glad they did! My frittata was delicious and a healthier alternative than my usual full English. My wife had bacon and pancakes whilst my son a sausage sandwich on toasted bread. The tea and hot chocolate drinks hit the spot and all in all it was a great start to our trip round Lancaster. Excellent stuff indeed!
