Very bland and disappointing

New synced lights and new decor had certainly added to the charm of this place. Food is great with loads of choice, limited drinks but Cobra and Kingfisher on draught. Plenty of room for small intimate alcoves or large open tables for parties.Parking: Main road position with limited parking or use side streets, Chapel BrowWheelchair accessibility: Level entry through doors directly into the building

Honestly I actually felt sorry for them it's was nearly empty. 1 blonde girl was running around doing everything because 1 of the lady's running it didn't no what she was doing and didn't understand English. The food was awful tasted reheated and bland. I will try again in a few months hopefully it will be a lot better

Shocking from start to finish.Fancied a Friday night take away, ordered our dishes at 18:15, quoted 50 minutes delivery time, brilliant, nice and early in time to relax for the rest of the night after a busy week at work.50 minutes pass, still no sign, gave it till 19:25 before calling the restaurant, phone answered quickly by a blunt man, I simply explained we’d ordered at 18:15, that I’d had an email confirming it was out for delivery by 18:50 and I was merely checking if it was actually on its way… ‘your order is on its way, it’s being delivered with 7 other orders’ alarm bells ring for me immediately, I ask will it be hot? Yes, he then hung up. Which I thought was very rude.A further 20 minutes tick on by, by this point we’re absolutely starving and the hanger is kicking in but non the less I call the restaurant again and was extremely polite despite the way the staff member was biting my head off, I explained I didn’t want cold food and if I’d have known the wait time was this long I wouldn’t have ordered from there.“I’ll cook your food fresh now & bring it myself” he said, thank you I really appreciate that.45 more minutes tick on by, the doorbell goes off, I open the door get a bag shoved into me and off he stomps down my driveway, not even an apology or hello.I take the 20 steps it takes to walk from my hallway to my kitchen, open the bag and food containers to be greeted with stone cold food.Absolutely livid by this point, I call the restaurant again, the manger starts to argue with me instead of listening with me and understanding the situation, he calls me a liar, insists the foods fresh (it was Luke warm at best!) and proceeds to shout down the phone, I tell him I would like a refund, explain why and he then tells me he’ll do it now and I’ll get an email, I ask when can I expect the email, he said I don’t know, soon if you’ve not got it you can come in tomorrow for it, then in the next breath he demands that I take the food back to the restaurant if I want a refund, I explained that I’m not prepared to go out of my way to get a refund for something that isn’t my fault. He kicks off again, so I took him up on this opportunity to go into the restaurant hand him the food back in front of his dining customers.Totally and utterly disgusting service, food quality was awful to boot.Sort yourselves out and learn how to speak to people, arguing with customers will get you nowhere in business.

The special request - for my chicken prawn and chicken peas jelfrezi Asian style medium spice - was delicious. Also, my fried king prawn and massala fish were also nice. the only thing missing was a fresh lemon with the fish , , it would be lovely if they sold something like bolognaise noodles with keem or keema cheese pie kiesh pie - tuna sweet corn and pasta - the menu needs to change a bit

Horrendous waited 2 hours for food fair enough it was 14 people but when it arrived naans we’re missing food was passed to wrong people food that wasn’t for us was forcefully gave to us and left 4 of us with really bad stomach ache I would’ve rather had a microwaveable mealTried charging me £17 extra

Only person in there, waited 20 mins for a couple of popadoms. Another 20 minutes for the main. In the meantime a family came in, ordered and walked out after waiting too long. The popadoms were soft and could be torn. The main course was utterly tasteless and comparable to a supermarket curry. I mentioned this politely to the waiter/owner who accepted my findings and offered a discount. Just give me a tenner he said, which I did, but I certainly will never set foot in there again. This place will not survive serving up shoddy food like this.. I wished him luck,

I have always gone to eat in at The Viceroy mid week. The atmosphere is quieter due to lack of clientele. I would say that it actually lacks atmosphere. The waiter who has worked here for many years, does not openly engage, this has a tendency to make the experience feel tense and uncomfortable.(I am unable to comment on weekend activity). The food is cooked to average western standards and taste. It is ok and consistent and I have never had a bad experience with the food.I have now found an alternative restaurant on Wigan Rd, heading towards Bamber Bridge. The reason for this, the last 3 times I have eaten in at The Viceroy, I have chosen from the mid week offer menu, where the waiter (older gentleman) has tried to over charge me by a few pounds each time and I have had to challenge the bill.If you do go here or order a takeout/delivery, be sure to check your invoice before payment!

Nice meal well ok went with our tastecard that we were supposed to be able to use but we're told that we couldn't although the tastecard did it could be used on Sundays (disappointed). We would go again but in reality I won't be rushing back.

Well well well where do I beginThe mixed starter left me with nothing but mixed emotions fuming to see the state of it but happy I wernt paying the bill. Now when I eat a nice madras I like to feel a nice heat gradually kick in and hit the back of my throat not the two greasy black hairs i found this evening.Very bland food, all those spices in the kitchen and yet I've had more flavour in a bowl of porridge.wouldn't come back again the nicest thing about my experience tonight was leaving.

Amazing food, and quality was at its finest. Lovely decor and music was wonderful. Thank you for the great evening!

The first time I went, the food was really good but the 2nd time, the curry dishes were really bland lacking in spice, depth and savouriness.I will however, say the poppadoms, nann and pillau rice were good.Due to the lack of consistency, it's not worth taking a chance for good food and I won't be going again, unfortunately.
