Came here Wednesday evening. My daughter & I both had steak as our main course ,both steaks cooked perfectly medium rare for me & rare for my daughter. Lovely Pinot Noir to complement. Service was very good despite it being very busy!

Visited on Friday for a latish lunch. The waiter clearly wasn't bothered about us. He came to the table asking for our food order without offering drinks or even water. I ordered goats cheese followed by Moules Frites. The goats cheese was OK but the mussels were small, white and the dish was quite tasteless. I didn't bother to complain as the writer clearly wasn't interested. It is a shame as the restaurant has been refurbished recently and is bright and cheerful. In the past I have always enjoyed the food here so I was very disappointed.

Lovely staff, relaxing atmosphere. We had the afternoon tea I'm not a massive fan of fish that's the only thing I have marked down on and that's just down to taste nothing more. Staff were lovely and

Unfortunately we didn't have a great experience, wrong drinks, waitress only wrote down 5 meals and there was 6 of us. The manager was great , she apologised and we've been here lots of times and always had a fab time. Hopefully, this was just a one-time hiccup.

4 mains.3 no complaints whatsoever. Lovely food. The fourth dish was a Moroccan lamb dish.Great presentation and taste.Need more lamb in the dish in our opinion.

Extremely disappointed with the food ordered thd chicken & chorizo paella. What I got was a bowl of wet rice chicken virtually none existentand only two chucks of chorizo. My wife had the pizza which was pleasant enough, luckily she shared some of it with me.Went to the takeaway round the corner and spent a third of the amount for a better meal

Went to Ego a few weeks ago as a party of 6 and didn’t have a good experience. The food itself was good however the service was extremely poor. The waitress only wrote down 5 main orders instead of 6, so when the mains came out my mum had to wait a long time until her food finally came out, and by this point we’d all finished. Plus when her food came out it was still wrong! The same waitress also made other mistakes and never apologised. The manager did come over and apologise for the issues, which we really appreciated. Disappointed but I’m hoping it was a one-off.

We've been here numerous times as it's consistently very good...tonight was pan fried salmon cooked to perfection and my wife had a mixed kebab for the first time ,and loved it...but over the last 12 months it's been a pleasure to dine here(only one overdone/burnt chicken kebab has been the only blemish, and there was a bill reduction for that) the creme brule needs a mention as it's sublime. The staff are always pleasant and smiling and the prices are reasonable, happy to recommend

Start with a grumble... 2 glasses (not pint glasses) of lemonade, £5.30. Naughty. We were a large and quite loud party (didn't know my colleagues could be so sweary after a couple of wines). We were to arrive at 6.45 but 2 of the party landing around 7.30. This wasn't a problem and we never felt rushed. The staff were great and the food most enjoyable. I'm coming back for the morrocan lamb!Parking: Pay and display next to Ego, free after 6pm.

Pretty good menu which includes a separate vegan menu. The staff were polite and friendly. For starters a couple of us had the garlic mushrooms as they had been recommended by a relative but they were average at best, my wife had the salmon & dill fishcake with poached egg and hollandaise sauce which she really enjoyed and the last of our party had breaded camembert which was also very good. For mains two of us had courgette and sweetcorn fritters which were tasty but a bit too cool for me. The other two had the Andalucian Pork fillet and the Ribeye Steak which they both enjoyed. Overall we had a good night but I found it a bit overpriced.Vegetarian options: A separate vegan menu with sufficient options to cover most tastes

Because we were 14 older blokes on a golfing trip we had to pre order which wasn't so easy on their online system so we sent a spreadsheet instead. This was OK with them so on arrival I thought there could still be delays in coping with the numbers.....how wrong could I have been! Great attention to delivery of quality food and drinks Great atmosphere and evidently a really good team of people making this a good night out [ it was a Monday to !]

We. started with delicious cocktails outside which were excellent and well worth the 2 for £13 price. We then sat down for our meal, the restaurant was pleasantly busy for a Sunday evening. I chose the goats cheese starter and my husband chose the fish cake. Both were absolutely delicious and a good size. We both went for the lemon chicken Milanese for main with a couple of side dishes of buttered green beans and tenderstem broccoli. The food was excellent, beautifully cooked and presented. It arrived in good time and we had no complaints, clean plates all round! We both had a glass of wine. All in all we really enjoyed our meal, this is a great restaurant with a good choice of dishes. we’ll definitely be back for the Christmas menu

I'd recommend going for Wednesday tapas night so you can have a variety of dishes to share. There's a great selection on the menu and they're reasonably priced but some of the things we ordered lacked flavour unfortunately. We also found the service incredibly slow (waited 25min to take our order and another 25 min to take our dessert order) and we were in a corner so we were often passed by and ignored by the staff even though it wasn't full.

*** Edited to add - after specifically being asked to email them about the review where I say we were ignored, don't you find it ironic that my email has been... ignored? I do. Anyway, don't bother with them honestly. ***What a thorough disappointment...We were in the area after visiting the kite festival so decided to try the restaurant for a meal, and never again. The food I actually had no issue with - it was quite nice from what we had. The drinks were good too. However the service... well, what service really? We were constantly being ignored by near enough everyone. We waited to be acknowledged as we entered the restaurant as we had booked beforehand, and waited for quite a while before someone deemed us "worthy" of attention. We then watched them clear a dirty table for us by putting dirty dishes on every surface around them. In the meanwhile, another couple who left could be heard saying "the service wasn't good", and we really should have listened. The person who ended up serving us looked like he wanted to be anywhere else but there at the time, and after ordering our drinks and food we did say we would like to see the dessert menu in a bit too. That time never came, as he studiously ignored us for the rest of the visit. When we eventually gave up on the idea of having dessert, we had to flag down a different lady to ask for a bill, which she did bring, but then no one bothered to bring us a card machine or ask if we were paying in cash so we sat for another 5 minutes just waiting for nothing!!! Then finally someone noticed that we were unhappy (the only decent member of staff with some personality who sadly wasn't our server. Wish he had been as he was the only personable and kind person in there) brought over the card machine so we could pay and finally forget the absolute nightmare of a night.Long story short - never again. Staff there clearly do not care about making people feel welcome.
