Ordered a sandwich, which I thought was a normal sandwich like any other sandwich, it came in a huge ciabati bun filled to bursting, obviously meant for a giant person with a huge mouth. One of us exchanged for fish and chips as she could not hold the enormous monstrosity let alone eat it.I had to order a pot of tea to try and wash this huge hard to eat so called sandwich, it should have been explained on the menu it was not an ordinary sandwich then perhaps we would have chosen something different. My friend then asked the waiter for a coffee and his reply was why did you not ask me when I brought the pot of tea, HOW RUDE of the male waiter then he preceded to be more rude by say while I am here would there be any more drinks which I thought was said in a sarcastic voice. My other friends were still eating and would have liked coffee after their meal. Also it was far to noisy to hear any conversation at our table.I am a local resident in Lytham, and will not be using the Deacon with any of my visitors ever again they were not impressed at all.

Food was terrible. Came out cold. Probably didn’t help the fact they had the windows wide open whilst it was spitting outside. Asked them to close the windows 3 times and they ignored each time. Was very uncomfortable eating your food when your freezing cold. Chicken tasted like chemicals. Would not recommend. The staff were rude also.

Arrived at 2.30pm to be told we could not sit in the suntrap conservatory as that was for "food" by an abrupt lady at the door (The place was empty at that point).Sat near the bar in the most uncomfortable chairs known to man for someone with hip issues. The bar maid (blonde with glasses) was serving, stocking shelves and generally running around like a headless chicken and really polite and professional, while 3 other staff were sat in the empty dining area laughing and playing on their phones. The male was chasing the girl in a check top around the area and into the kitchen, taking selfes and generally being unprofessional. The girl in the checked top spent most of the time talking to her "mates" on the table by the door most of the time (We ended up spending £38 on 2 rounds of drinks and, but for the lovely young girl in glasses behind the bar, we would have left part way through the 1st drink). Poor atmosphere, poor staff EXCEPT THE BARMAID. Only plus was the wine was decent. Probably won't be returning

The food was not worth the money, especially when a dry strip of chicken was 18 pound with a side salad which looked a couple days old, All the staff were lovely except the manager who made us feel uncomfortable as she had a hostile attitude towards us and other customers.

We only attended for a few drinks. Quality band on called Flip. Good vibes. Quality drinks and service. Highly recommend and I will be returning for food sometime ??

Lovely place in Lytham, food was very good not just your usual pub grub. Service great. A bit lively at night, we visited on Friday there was a singer and very busy

Loved it here. The food was excellent. We had Hummus and Tiger prawns to start followed by a burger and the cheese and onion pie. It isn't low cost, but I think it is good value. Will definitely go back.

Lovely place but please feed your poor neglected plants. I had to buy some more bottled water after visiting your ladies and salvaging your poor plants. 2 lovely plants dying between 2 sinks. Would have put 5 stars otherwise :)

Excellent food, friendly service and nice atmosphere. Lovely to see a good selection of GF options on the menu.

This place used to be really good - good food ,good menu, good service - well that's ended today . The menu used to have alsorts of different dishes at reasonable prices - now we're going down the £20 for a pie and chips - really ? This is far from a gastro pub. They are all blaming the price of food -it has risen - but some are going too far with it - nothing special - but top money . Menu is now a single piece of A4 . Service was so slow both for drinks and food - and it wasn't that busy when we ordered . I used to enjoy it here, but I'm looking elsewhere from now on .
