“I've loved this place and have been going for a long time. I think there has been a change of ownership and although its nice to be nice the people serving where overly nice and made it feel slightly forced, and abit odd.However they are lovely people and the food was nice. I would say the products the we bought feel like they've changed somewhat. But again still nice.”

“The staff are very helpful..I wanted to lend a charging cable for my phone, they hadn't one but asked around the various rooms, going above and beyond what you normally get.Toilets are spotless with a large beer garden to the rear.My pint of Guinness was perfect.It was really cold outside when I visited but it was really cozy inside.Prices are reasonable and compare favourably with any other rural pub.Sadly, they don't do pies..A warmed pie, with or without mushy peas would make this a 5 star pub.”

“Great little find on our way back home. Lovely looking from the outside and even nicer inside. Stopped off for dinner and got the cheese and onion pie with triple cooked chips, garlic bread for starters which was amazing. Dogs are also welcome which was a bonus for us as we had ours. Children's menu also a good selection. The young waitresses were lovely and attentive. Would definitely come back. (would love to know where the garlic bread was made as it is the nicest one ever.)Parking: Plenty of parking at the back of the pub which also had seating outside. Would imagine it is nice to sit out in the summer.Kid-friendliness: The kids menu was very good and also came with some puzzles on it.”

“Nothing but high praise! The Grey Mare is nothing short of perfect. There are not many places where you can get this quality of food at the price while looking out at some spectacular views. The staff are friendly and always present to tend to their customers. The food is top quality and all for a great price. Cheese & Onion pie is definitely recommended!
