Visited Knott End Chippy on a Sunday at 17:00.First of all I was impressed it was open on a Sunday 16:00 - 19:00 as Google (maps) advised as it seemed to be the only place open that I could see (apart from big shops). I had a Fish and Chips, cod which was very nice and freshly cooked, chips were nice as well but a bit too many scraps for me but each to their own and all that. Also had the cheese and onion pie due to other reviews on here and can confirm very nice :) and also a decent / good selection of cold drinks. I didn't have a hot drink from here so can't comment but they were available and in proper mugs from what I saw other customers having. The only thing for me was no beans available (sorry you lost a star for that guys), an easy thing to rectify though that. Overall very good, thanks for a lovely tea :-)Parking: Free parking outside opposite but limited to one hour, longer free parking around the corner though.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available

Really really tasty fish and chips. Cooked perfectly to order. Worth the trip down! I was served by the owner who was very warm and courteous. Trust the reviews! There's a reason why this place is highly rated. Possibly the best fish and chips I have ever had. I was most impressed with the fact that chips were fried separately and so was the fish, you don't often get that these days with the cost of everything going up! Keep up the amazing work. Went here for tea as was staying locally, arrived at opening time, there was already a queue. We sat on the prom to eat as it was a beautiful day, my husband commented how delicious the fish was, the only thing was as it was fresh out the fryer it stuck to the paper a bit. Would definitely return here. The servers were friendly and efficient and you can pay by card if needed.

Really enjoyed my tea this evening, fantastic meat and potato pie. A little noisy in the dining area, but this was due to the numbers of people queuing for takeout food. Very busy! Card or cash payments accepted. Staff extremely helpful and friendly.
