We enjoyed a lovely hot Sunday lunch in this very nice pub recently. The meal was fabulous, plenty of it as well, the staff were all very pleasant and it was a nice comfortable environment. A lovely bonus was a drink in the sunny beer garden after our meal. Would definitely

Absolutely lovely meal. Great service. Nice atmosphere. First time I have been in since the current owners took over. Will be back. Thank you. 2/2/2024- Another lovely meal at The Bourne , thank you.Vegetarian options: We couldn't see vegetarian sausage on the menu but when asked we were told it was available. It arrived with mash, veg and vegetarian onion gravy and was very nice .

We go to the Bourne quite a bit, we take our two French bull dogs also, we are all welcomed, the service is excellent, the food is the best anywhere for the money with proper home cooking and no expense spared and it really feels like my local even though I am always visiting the area. ( I am at my caravan at weekends and holidays) Cracking staff and landlord, if you visit you won’t be disappointed.

Had Sunday Dinner here with family, including two with Coeliac / gluten free requirements- Bourne Arms have gf gravy and Yorkshire puddings and a choice of desserts! They also had vegetarian/ vegan options too. The food served was home cooked, excellent quality and very good value for money. Within our group we had a vegetarian Wellington, beef, lamb and chicken roast dinners, which were all lovely and the sides were fresh and delicious. The server who took our orders was really attentive, and she brought food to the children first- which when you have a toddler makes the world of difference and is so thoughtful. Smallest guest was thrilled when he got his Wallings ice cream first. The pub is also dog friendly in the bar area, but for those who aren’t a fan of dogs there is also an area, the poop deck, where they are not permitted.

Absolutely brilliant ? The food is delicious and home made, the chef is really talented and makes fantastic meals, you can really enjoy the meals here I can’t praise them enough. The welcome is warm and friendly and Stuart and his wife are very friendly and welcome you to the place like your with friends. There are lots of events to enjoy and my favourite pint Belhaven Black is sold here too, I have started to go to this pub on a regular basis with friends and family and me and my partner go in for lunch or dinner and sometimes just a drink or two. Love this pub I think they are doing an outstanding job and would recommend this place to anyone. Absolutely wonderful place and I am looking forward to going with more friends to enjoy my evening with the staff the Bourne arms and many more visits to come. A real hun of the community and a valued place by me.

Currently on Holiday in Lancashire and we were looking for a nice spot to eat by the sea, And what an amazing find! The Bourne Arms certainly did not disappoint, in fact exceeded our expectations from start until finish! The staff were so friendly and enthusiatic, happy to chat and knowledgable of the menu. We wanted to dine in the Poop Deck, so we could have a sea view, and were give table 20 (the best table) with amazing views of the Lake District and Morcombe Bay. My husband and I had their whole tail scampi and chips, with salad, and a side of onion rings. This was the best scampi that either of us have ever had, and we have travelled a lot, the salad was fresh and crips and the chips and onion rings were absolutely lush! If you are looking for a very friendly, cosy Bar with excellent service and amazing food, this is definitely one to add to your list! Thanks Bourne Arms, we had such a lovely lunch and we will certainly be before we head back home! Nikki and Barry x

How lucky we are to have this pub in Knott End. The new owners have done an absolutely brilliant job...the staff are very welcoming, the whole building is spotlessly clean and the food is delicious. We have had excellent Sunday lunches before but this time we decided to make the most of a sunny Saturday lunchtime and we both chose steak and Belhaven pie off the regular menu. Such tender meat in a rich gravy with light shortcrust pastry, tasty vegetable accompaniments...everything is so obviously homemade and prepared with the freshest ingredients. Superb sticky toffee pudding with Wallings icecream for dessert.... and a wonderful view of the Bay from the Poop Deck. Perfect in every way.
