I went last night for a large haddock a curry and chips I was biserponted I got home my fish was oily on the bottom and soggy batter. My curry was very thin and not good at all I have been going here from the first week it opened this is the first biserponted I have had sorry to put this did not eat my curry and had to leave the bottom batter on my fish

6 year olds birthday tea. A rambled biggish order over the phone. Collected and all food present and correct to the high standard we always get from The Fish Bar. Never disappoints and nothing too much trouble. By far the best chippy in the area.Thank you and Happy New Year ?Kid-friendliness: The kids portions are plentiful.

Really disappointing experience in every way. Waited nearly 45 minutes from ordering to receiving food, I presume due to staffing issues, but really unacceptable. At one point there were 13 people waiting for orders and they were still taking on more orders. When the food did arrive it was really poor. Soggy chips and the fish was sat in trays that had a pool of fat in with them. Really not good.

I went here for the first time today after reading the other reviews. I ordered the gluten free fish and chips which was cooked fresh while I waited. The fish was one of the best I have tasted after avoiding wheat for over 3 decades. In addition the member of staff was very nice and knowledgeable about food intolerances. I will definitely return and would recommend this to anyone with a gluten intolerance.

We ordered our chips and fish for collection last week. They were cooked to perfection. The chips lovely and brown sweet tasting potatoes and great fish and fishcake. Definitely recommend this!
