This was my first fine dining experience & it was very nice indeed. The restaurant is in a quiet part of Preston near Avenham Park. In fact it's easy to miss if you don't know where it is. Very unassuming location. Each course served was amazing & introduced me to some flavours I've never had before. I also had the butter pie as a supplement. Very much worth the money. Yeah, really good. My favourite course was the cod, artichoke & shrimp. Seafood isn't usually my favourite but this was outstanding with so much flavour. A nice surprise was the bread served made from reclaimed grains used for beer making. And I'm unlikely to ever have better butter than that which was served with it. Sublime. Each dish had a surprising flavour & I literally couldn't wait for each course to be brought out. All in all no complaints & only praise for the quality of the food served. There is a very extensive wine list & a lot of other drinks to choose from, some sourced from the local area. The staff were all really nice & described each dish as it was brought out. They all knew their stuff & were extremely polite. This restaurant is not cheap but is definitely worth the expense, especially if you'd like an introduction to this kind of dining.Vegetarian options: Lion's mane mushroom served, which is quite rare.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Been a fan of this restaurant from the start. The restaurant name may have changed but the quality, atmosphere and food just got better! If you are looking for quality food and good value there is nothing in the North West that compares. Would recommend for any occasion and you won't be disappointed. Congrats to the team for the attention to detail and divine flavours. Sure there will be more awards to follow.Parking: Plenty of free parking on Winkley Square after 18:00. 2 minute walk from restaurant.

Best value fine dining lunch in Lancashire. Food more than worthy of a Michelin star! Will be back for more soon.

This was our second time dining at 263 and it was just as wonderful as the first. I had a family member visiting and the team had very kindly signed a menu as a little memento - what a great touch! The food was once again incredible with a few changes from the menu on our previous visit - impossible to pick a single highlight but the salt aged beef was certainly the best I've ever had, and the black trompette madeleine instantly unlocked treasured childhood memories of freshly baked cakes - a perfect way to finish the meal. The team were fantastic, a slick but personable service that shows their commitment to the craft. The Sommelier was able to flex her knowledge of wines by expertly helping us select a bottle for the table based on our tastes - never an easy task when there are three people, but it was the perfect accompaniment to the meal. Overall just another brilliant experience from 263 and I'm already excited to return!

Me and my fiancé decided to treat ourselves for our anniversary and so booked here. We’d never been to a Michelin star restaurant before and we were not disappointed. The attention to detail from the staff and chefs is amazing. We were called the day before our visit to double check our allergens and the staff were so friendly and informative. The food was absolutely divine, we were a little hesitant going in to it as we weren’t sure what to expect but we thoroughly enjoyed every dish we tried. Would love to come back perhaps for our first date night as a married couple!

A compact room with just eight tables but with service exceeding expectations. The tasting menu was lovely. The wine list extensive. A really lovely lunchtime experience.
