Excellent freshly cooked food. Extensive menu with different items than usual Indian restaurants. We were a large Christmas party and each course was served promptly and efficiently. There was live music and the whole place was buzzing! The starter and main portions were generous and the prices very reasonable. Also we weren’t ripped off with drink prices. Excellent friendly service ….beautiful decor .. food absolutely delicious..poppadom and chutneys .. chicken madras , pilau rice .. grandmothers butter chicken with garlic rice which was amazing !! very generous portions .. had to bring some home ! All staff smartly dressed and attentive . Highly recommend anyone to give Nellie the elephant a visit .. was our first time this evening .. most definitely not our last .. see you again soon ! well done Nellie !!

Had a booking with San Marco for Christmas eve, after several phone calls from the restaurant we realised our booking had been cancelled so we chose Nellie the Elephant so glad we did, this Indian is superb the atmosphere was friendly as were all their staff, the food was amazing all served hot and at very reasonable prices. Would highly recommend we will be returning. Thank you
