Bistros in Preston

“The food was very nice, well presented and the portion sizes were about right. The restaurant was easy to find. When we arrived, it was very busy - it was a Saturday night, but the place had more of a pub/bar feel than a restaurant feel. We had booked, but our table wasn't ready. The restaurant inside felt cramped and was very noisy, the music was quite loud. We opted to sit outside, which was OK because although it's on a busy road, it was set back enough for this not to matter. Our enjoyment of being outside was marred by other customers coming outside to smoke in the seating area. Waiting staff were pleasant, and although service was a bit slow at first, they were very apologetic about this, and once we had ordered, it was much better.”

“You will be entering an economic depressed town in England that happens to be a college town. So don't expect miracles. This Bistro offers meal specials at great prices, good for the broke students that wander roads endlessly. The place is "dirty" (it could use a good scrub), but it is not lacking in good food, which was impressive. The steak frites were really good as expected in a "Fast Food ala France" but my roasted chicken was beyond finger-licking great! I inhaled that bird with gusto. Cooked perfectly with lots of butter and herbs, it was moist and succulent (ew, these words...). Worth the visit!”
