I've driven past this pub loads of times on my way to work and wondered what it was like inside. To be honest my judgement was it looked a bit shabby and I thought it was probably destined for closure. It seems like it's out of the way and indeed it is but after visiting recently for a relative's birthday get together I was pleasantly surprised. Back open after about two years being closed. Done really well inside and great to see lots of people inside it again. I didn't have any food but they do pie, peas and gravy and are looking to do more food when the kitchen is finished.Great place to stop for a pint with a large carpark at the back.

Been waiting "ages" for them to reopen, and because they are new and not long open the menu is basic, but the food was good, plenty of beer choices, lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff. Just hope tye menu gets somewhere back to how it was before, ie :- goats cheese starters, fish n chips, and definitely needs desserts ? ? ? ? ? . But all in all, we enjoyed our little trip out for tea.
