Bad case of gastro after eating at this place, on bank holiday Monday. Sad to say the barn is now on the list of places to avoid eating ☹️ The atmosphere is always lovely, and although it takes a long time to order food and drinks, I can’t really fault the staff on a busy bank holiday. We sat outside and enjoyed our lime and lemonades with a fruit scone and butter each…not sure if the cutlery wasn’t clean or something went wrong with the preparation of the cakes but both my dad and I have now been sick for 24 hours after eating here. Mum is fine and she didn’t visit the barn so really the only changed variable is that we had scones at the barn. Won’t be eating here again unfortunately.

Beautiful place, desserts were great, but I would stay away from the main food menu. Ordered the satay chicken, which was overpriced, bland and tasted like a school dinner. Didn’t taste the slightest bit like satay. Ended up buying a panini instead which was basic but good considering it was only around £7. Everything else was great though, location was lovely, nice walk you can go on from Garstang to get there, friendly staff, amazing desserts, etc.
First time at the Barn at Scorton. Had small English breakfast very nice food..and ice cold drink.and Scone and jam and cream and ice coffee.. garden center had nice plants to buy. Etc....be going back soon.

Lovely place to visit! There's a garden centre, shop, ice cream parlour and restaurant.Great atmosphere and lovely staff. There's so much to see, good place for buying presents, for both high and low prices. The ice cream parlour serves Wallings Ice cream and has an American diner inspired seating area.Haven't visited the restaurant myself but have heard much about it, always very good things.
