My friends and I booked for 1pm on a Saturday and even though the food had a waiting time of 45 mins we weren’t disappointed when the food came as it was piping hot and delicious. Very busy place where the staff are amazing!

Staff and food excellent but fall down with allowing dogs on the furniture and even eating and drinking from the tables. Our visit at table 203 on Monday 12th February 12:13 we had two other family members with us that day and on our last visit Tuesday 20th February 2024 we were with we were with 6 other friends. We don't dislike dogs but in our opinion it's not a good look having dogs on seats and eating at tables..

We ate here on a Saturday lunchtime. We spent £52 for a burger, steak pudding, garlic bread a Diet Coke and a small glass of wine. We were not warned of any excessive wait time on food and we had our baby with us. After waiting for 45 minutes we ask a waitress for an update on our food who disappeared never to return to give said update. We then asked a manager who again never returned to give us an update and a further 10 minutes passed before we got our food. Our order was incorrect as we had requested skinny fries not chunky chips (a minor inconvenience but not the point when you’re paying over £50 for lunch). In addition to this the waiter that dropped the food said he wasn’t aware of any wait on food and the fact it had taken so long was out of their control? Quite what could have happened for it to be out of their control I’m not sure however it would have been nice to be kept in the loop at any point. Food was ok just standard pub food but the service was awful.

Menu good, but choice is limited if you want to

Literally the worst meal I have had in years. No idea how this place gets a 4.5 score on Google. We went Saturday night, 4 of us ate 2 courses each. Of those courses 1 was good and another was ok. 6 courses were poor and/or over salted. One of the curries was inedible and even the rice was dry and flavourless. Good love music though.

We've been quite a few times when they've been extremely busy, not waiting long for food. Meals have always been excellent. This last visit, at the Horns, was quiet, we waited over 45 mins for food to come out. One of our guests had the steak sword at £28 he was disappointed, not much steak plus peppers, mushrooms & onions. You could do with a good steak on the menu. This wouldn't stop us from coming. We've always been to the Horns on a Sunday. Everything has always been excellent

Went to the Wednesday pub quiz and tackled one of their famous Steak swords (proper sized sword - see pic).Cracking pub and food ?

A quality and quantity of food that makes it easily one of the best dining places, Sunday lunch is a must, but booking is recommended. I will be returning here

We went for lunch. Was really enjoyable. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food was good value and served piping hot. Great gluten free options . Definitely go again.

Lovely atmosphere, like being in a Swiss ski chalet ? Food tasty & good sized portions. Plenty of choice on the menu.
