We went there on Christmas day! It was the only place that was open in Preston ! People were friendly and I'm sure the atmosphere is much better on Saturday nights! For us it was a blessing on Christmas day ?Five

Very expensive for what it is. 2pts cider, 1 fosters £14.00!! The owner responded to my review, saying the info was false. I gave it one star for food based on bar snack availability, not the non - functioning kitchen. The prices stated by the owner may be correct, but was NOT the price paid by myself. BTW, I have removed the one star rating for food, so yes I was reviewing the right venue. They also stated among the cheapest in the centre, not true. Same drinks in Northern way around £8.35. The same drinks in Grey friars is around £6.60.been again to nite, thought I would give it a second chance, fosters lager 3.80 wen its only 2.55 in Northern way is ridiculous hike. No reason for this hike at all. Latest hygiene ratings are in.... It got a 1*

Great little rock-oriented pub.

Only been my favourite pub in the world for two years now. Atmosphere always 5star. Music amazing. Seen some great bands here. Open mic night awe inspiring. But tonight Sean has also topped all of that with the Curry Wurst Berliner. 5 star now on food as well. Mágico!!!

Still 5 stars. Rock and Roll, daft landlord in a hat, too many pianos, if you think you can play, open mic may be your thing. If you like losing money, poker on a Sunday. If you like German sausage, talk to the bloke in the hat.He might not make much sense, but if sausage appears, happy days. What's not to like?

I have visited here a couple times for gigs and have had a wonderful time always. The basis of this review however is not founded on that but on how they helped me out tonight. I was walking back from the gym as it was getting dark when a man, clearly not in the right headspace, started to follow me and caught up with me and started interacting with me. I immediately felt unsafe so went into the pub and explained the situation to the bar staff. The lovely bartender immediately alerted her manager who did a scope of the area and advised UCLan security who then checked the cameras around campus. Upon first entry I was welcomed into the pub to stay until I felt safe. Truly a standout place and I will always appreciate it for this attitude especially! The music and drinks are just a bonus.

Outstanding atmosphere in this place! All staff are wonderful for banter and small talk, and will likely remember your orders throughout the night - handy for later on! Not much of a selection in the ways of cider, but the beer selection is unrivalled in Preston. Plenty of regular weekly events too: Open Mic Wednesdays, £3 Keg Thursdays, and usually live music throughout the week. Oh, and the food! All of the currywurst are absolutely outstanding. Worth a visit!

Great grog. Great food. Great service and great selection of music to request from. What else could you ask for?Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp entrance to the side of the pub but no disabled toilets

Nice atmosphere and good selection of beers. The guy behind the bar was friendly as well.

The best aspects of this pub are, regrettably, nothing to do with the beer on offer, which is an average selection. However, the range of vinyl from which you can choose to have played is top-notch. Add to that a set of comics to read and an arcade cabinet rammed with old classic games and you have a place in which you can easily spend a couple of hours, even if your taste buds remain the least stimulated part of your body.
