Popped in at tea time on a busy bank holiday Easter Monday without booking. Greeted by very friendly staff, I asked for a table for two which wasn't a problem and we were seated straight away I had the Prawn Saganaki to start and then we both had the Lamb Henry, it was all very tasty and served by very efficient and polite staff. Well done thank you.

A lovely warm welcome from the very accommodating and friendly staff on Saturday evening! They very kindly found us a table as we hadn’t booked and it was very busy in the eating front room area. Would recommend the chicken skewer absolutely delicious and well cooked. Scampi also went down well with my daughter! So nice to go somewhere that gives a warm and professional welcome. Drinks and food served very quickly and efficiently. Would 100% recommend.

My friends and myself vist the Yew Tree for birthday get togethers, one friend is celiac and the choice is excellent, lovely food well priced, staff and service are excellent

Popped in after going to the cinema. Meal was fantastic tasty and cooked to perfection. Staff were very attentive, pleasant & polite. More importantly efficient, so I’m surprised to read a previous review. I’m definitely recommending and will be returning. Love the new decor.
We have enjoyed a number of meals at the Yew Tree. Based on this, and after singing our praises for the good Sunday lunches served, we invited our friends for lunch last Sunday the 28th Jan 24. 3 of us ordered a roast beef lunch. When it arrived, it was so tough and, in my opinion, inedible. I requested to change my beef for chicken explaining the reason behind ( my meal arrived when my friends were about to finish their meals spoiling our time together) . Two of my friends, felt embarrassed to change their meals, though clearly struggling chewing their meat; and decided to endure the experience leaving most of their meat on the plate. The point is: it is understandable that occasionally this could happen but; at no point any member of staff or the manager on duty offered any apology. Instead, when clearing up the table we were asked if anything was fine - I replied no, not really and the response was " would you like anything else to drink?" unbelievable really!!! Lack of care and attention. Never again!!!

We visited the Yew Tree today for a family meal, the Sunday Roast was delicious, great portion size and good value for money, lovely staff and even though they were busy we didn't wait long for our meal, would highly recommend.
