After looking at reviews we visited the cafe this morning. The best way to explain our visit was, bizarre! Me, my daughter and grandson entered the shop and asked if there was a table in the cafe. The staff member looked at the clock and said yes and nodded to the little room to the side. After waiting at the table for a bit, my daughter went to the counter to ask for a menu and asked how we order. Then, this is the odd bit - the lady said ‘this is not really a cafe, it’s more of a take away’. The strange bit was the other two tables were occupied, one of which were eating. When my daughter came back and told us what was said, we looked at each other and got up and left. As I said, bizarre!!

If I could leave 10 stars I would! Messaged last night on FB as shop had closed for the day and I asked if I could book afternoon tea for my friend and I for today. Didn’t expect a reply, but I did straight away! Booked for 2 and paid deposit. Arrived today and got a really warm welcome and the table was ready. Food was all freshly baked and delicious. we ended up taking home a doggie bag there was that much food. The cakes were to die for as always and when we left we both got handed a free bag of freshly baked bread. Nothing too much trouble for the 2 lovely ladies that own the business. Only downfall is not having enough indoor seating. It is always full when we go past, but was quieter today because of bad weather.

Splendid place, half of the space is a small bakers shop, the other half is a mini cafe with four tables. We had afternoon tea. The food was all lovely, beautifully presented and it was all ready when we arrived a few minutes before our booked time. The staff were very helpful and cheerful and provided us with takeaway containers for what was left when our appetites ran out. We shall certainly be returning whenever we are in the area.
