We have used this pub for many years now and it never really changes. It's always been a friendly place where you can relax and have a quiet drink or a noisy one, if you choose your times right. The beer is always really well kept. I drink John Smiths and I've never tasted a better pint of it anywhere else.

Was my first time at the Travellers rest.I cannot recommend it strongly enough!As a venue it's perfect!It's obvious just from talking to the locals. That the quality of live musicIs consistently great.Making it a no brainer as an addition to any music fans local list of quality places to see fantastic live music.The pub is spacious without losingwarmth of atmosphere.I can't speak highly enough of the staff who were warm, friendly helpful and efficient. And this friendly feeling extends itself on both sides of the bar! Everyone I spoke with had only good things to say of the pub. And landlord. it is a a great local resource. Traditional in the best sense.And so my recommendation is.If you haven't been yet. What the hell are you waiting for?

Friendly stop over (ring in advance, very friendly landlord plus EHU) Very handy for cycling into Blackpool. Good chatting rum n ready vibe. Lovely cold beer. Interesting, friendly locals. Old school boozer. Throwback to the good old days! Entertainment on. Also sells cars.
