The coffee is nice here when you can manage to get a seat .Went today after using the pool and not a seat available, unfortunately this wasn’t due to people having coffee or eating ?it was due to table joggers who think it s ok for one person to have a coffee and take up a table for 6 spread out with a pop up office. And crowds of people with no drinks clear tables and having a good ole natter.Ended up going to a nicer coffee shop and not office .

2nd time here. Pleasant staff. Great atmosphere quiet and calm. Plenty of seating. We'll worth a visit.

Look forward to coffee and cake here. Doesn't seem to matter how busy there's always a group of people awkwardly waiting for their drinks which is the only negative really.

We have lost count on how many times we have been to Ribby! We love it! This was the first year I felt a bit disappointed by the fishmen right outside our lodge and young boys throwing stones and the ducks!! The staff are lovely and the lodges are always immaculate! A nice touch and suggestion would be a retro dvd rental place, all the lodges we have stayed had dvd players. It would be lovely for a night, if you didn't fancy the entertainment ti be able to go to Ribby Rentals and let the kid's pick a movie .

Our second trip to Ribby Hall, this time at Easter, where we were welcomed at Reception by Callum who processed our booking efficiently and pleasantly, directing us to our accommodation. The short trip there confirmed that the open, well-tended grounds with dispersed accommodation had not changed. On our last visit, we had booked a ‘Poppy’ terraced cottage. This time we upgraded to a detached ‘Diamond’ cottage (no. 87) but, in retrospect, we would have been better sticking to the cheaper ‘Poppy. Both have ample, comfortable, room for six and the equipment inventory is very complete with no conceivable extra required. The layouts of the two cottages are identical and, if there any difference in internal dimensions, it was not apparent. As extras, the Diamond gave us an ‘American-style’ fridge-freezer (does anybody need the capacity of these energy-guzzlers on holiday?). a washer-drier (not used) and a display unit (pointless in its empty condition). That’s about it. Ten minutes after we had taken occupation, a housekeeper called to ask if everything was OK? We answered ‘yes’ as we had had little time for exploration but it would have been a different response if she had called a day later. By that time, we had found the rusted tin-opener with congealed food adhering, the microwave with the encrusted remains of food internally, the thick layer of oily dust on top of the fridge-freezer, the four-slot toaster with two-and-a-half slots working and the dusty shelves of the display unit. The glassware was clean but the drying stains left by the dishwasher meant a further wash was needed to restore some sparkle. The towels supplied are ample in size and quality but could shower-mats also be supplied, whether disposable or fabric? We ended up using a hand-towel rather than have wet ensuite/bathroom floors. The difference in the weather since our previous visit, changing from sunshine to chill winds and showers, showed up the poor condition of the draught strips on the external and patio doors. The list of defects outlined in the preceding three paragraphs, may in total sound like our experience was completely negative. It wasn’t. It was just a series of niggles that we worked around but it raises the question of how much time per cottage is allotted to cleaners and how generous is the maintenance budget? I recognise that many hospitality providers are working to tight margins but when budgets are stretched too thin and the public starts to look elsewhere, changes must be made. Image is hugely important. On the question of maintenance, we had need to call upon its services when the boiler tripped-out (blowback from the gale outside) and left us minus heating and hot water. From the time I called Reception to the time a maintenance man arrived at our door twenty minutes elapsed. That is excellent service by any standard. The poor weather limited the outdoor activities of our two granddaughters, aged six and nearly-four but they enjoyed the various playgrounds, soft-play and the Leisure Pool whenever they could. Evenings meant the stage area of the Hive, where children’s entertainment continued until 8.30pm. This was conducted at a volume only slightly louder than standing next to Concord at full power while the female acts/DJ shrieked at pitches that, at times, could only be heard by dogs. Please turn it down and you will find the audience have less cause to shout at each other to make themselves heard. We ate in the Hive each evening and found that the food was of generally good value, quality and portion size. It was delivered after a reasonable preparation time and we have no problem in recommending it. The price of beer and soft drinks was reasonable. A visit to the mini-zoo was enjoyed by all and I had an impression that some sprucing up of the pens and cages had occurred. What was not in doubt was the knowledge and affection of the staff for their charges and the readiness to supply details of them. So, for us that was Ribby 2023. Was it a success? Well, the children were happy, the adults were (mostly) happy and drove home i

We stayed Monday - Friday in a dog friendly cottage. We were impressed with the size of the cottage and the rooms. Was a nice touch having a little kitchen pack including dishwasher tablets, sponge, bin bags and washing up liquid. Accommodation was clean. Only thing wrong was the dining room chairs - 2 of them sunk very low when you sat on them and probably need replacing. The site was very peaceful and pretty to have a walk around. We went to the pool everyday, ourselves and 3 year old love it, the slides and flume were good fun. Nice and clean inside changing rooms to. Mini golf was good fun was £8 per adult. We also visited the Wild Discovery centre, which was a nice morning visit. Every evening we went to the junior disco and character show, 3 year old had a great time. The parks around the site are nice and well maintained. Will be coming back again.

Amazing family resort so much to do with children. We stayed there as a family of 9 5 adults 4 toddlers The little ones had the time of their lives. The entertainment team are fantastic and really engaged with the children. Well done Ribby Hall we will be back for sure ?

We’ve just returned from our first visit to Ribby Hall, having thoroughly enjoyed a change of scenery compared to our usual CenterParcs trips. Ribby Hall has contemporary and well-specified lodges, plenty of cafes and restaurants, loads for kids to do (including an excellent family pool) and consistently friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay in a Sapphire bungalow so much that we booked our next visit before we left, receiving a small discount and being able to choose our exact plot. While the resort is great, frustrating niggles stop it being exceptional. The WiFi logs you out all the time and forces you to re-register, there’s no street lighting along the heavily potholed Fisherman’s Reach, wayfinding signage is sorely lacking, and the rubbery microwaved veggie breakfast at the pancake restaurant was a rare letdown. Our one major criticism concerned the adults-only swimming pool, which is impossible to find without asking a staff member. The lockers require padlocks, but you’re not told about this until you’re inside the changing rooms, at which point you can either pay £6.50 for a padlock in the shop or leave your belongings unattended. The pool was freezing cold when we visited, and after seeking sanctuary in the hot tub for ten minutes waiting for it to restart, we got less than a minute of bubbles before the staff members who’d been standing beside near us throughout told us we had to get out because it was now closed. The changing rooms have no swimwear dryers or plastic bags, there was mould around some of the sink tiles, and there is nowhere to sit or wait for people along the many corridors leading to the pool complex. Even so, Ribby Hall has a great deal going for it, quite apart from a convenient rural location just outside Blackpool. The zoo is an absolute must-see – where else will you find a crocodile, a bat cave, an ant room and wallabies all in one place? We also saw squirrels, hares and countless ducks roaming free during our three-night stay, not to mention the carved animals in the delightful Gruffalo tree near the outdoor play parks.

We went in the Easter holidays with 3 children under 7 and 6 adults. Our cottages were lovely, had everything we needed for our stay, warm too as it was cold when we were there. The site is great for younger children, fab pool and parks. The children loved the entertainment and we ate in the Hive and Terrazza, both were good. All the staff from reception to pool cleaners were lovely, a credit to the place. Would recommend.

Exceptional customer service along with the best coffee I've ever drank

Music in the tots disco deafening, smell of weed in bedroom from neighbour smoking outside. Drinks not filled up. Food in Terazzo was rubbish. Bedrooms cold. Sink drain board in kitchen. filthy. Won’t be going back.

Food quality at Terazzo was poor. Chips are obviously cheap supermarket value chips that were £4.50 a potion. Soft drinks in the Hive bar were under filled with the excuse of metered measure but no measurement given on the menu. Bar staff also said there needed to be room in the glass for the ice I didn’t want. It felt like the staff had a choice if they wanted to give good value for money. Play area was closed for a full day when it needed cleaning. Bedrooms were draughty. Easter egg hunt was a racket for £9 per child. Positives. Children’s entertainment was good but a bit loud for our kids. Boating lake closed. Been many times before, but won’t be back, might try Centerparcs instead

Great place. We have stayed in the hotel before but adults only so this time stayed in one of the houses with the kids. The Orangey restaurant in the main hotel was fantastic again. Only real downside (hence deduction of a point) is the internet. It has a totally ridiculous log in system (which you can enter any fake details on, it’s simply an attempt to harvest data and is utterly pointless from any other perspective than harvesting data) which half the time doesn’t work and good luck if you have some urgent emails to send for work or want to connect your streaming device. For the money charged the internet situation is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE and if Ribby Hall really care and listen to customers they need to instantly scrap the broken and pointless ‘give us your details’ log on screen and simply give you straight access to the internet. Note you cannot get a 4G signal on most of the site.

Just back from a lovely 5 days at Ribby Hall. The lodges are so spacious and well equipped with nice outdoor space. Ate at the Italian Restaurant one night and the food was very good, excellent service aswell. The Hive entertainment area kept the kids amused during a rainy day but we were disappointed when we tried to go there in the evening as all the tables were full, the venue felt too small for the size of site/ Easter holidays. Pool was nice but very much aimed at the younger children under 10 as the ‘thrill’ slide was very tame. My 12yr old did archery, which she loved, but was disappointed she couldn’t swim lengths in the adult pool. I would say a few more activities aimed at the 12-16 age group would be great. All in all a fantastic stay.
