We had a lovely Sunday lunch today. Sevice good & food was excellent. The roast beef was very succulent, it nearly melted in the mouth. The roast potatoes & Yorkshire pudding were cooked to perfection.

The food is fantastic. love the menu as there aren't pages of options and everything I have ordered has been exceptionally good.Hats off to the waiting staff also - they are attentive without being too intrusive and are very friendly. The atmosphere/ decor of the place is very inviting, as well.

Food was good for vegetarians, not a huge choice for vegans but definitely healthy and a lot of care had gone into the menu to make the veggie/vegan options exciting, the bruschetta was very small but totally delicious, nice goats cheese, pine nut and sweet potato salad but the dessert was the best part, I might order just desserts next time, eton mess charred peach and blueberryVegetarian options: Good couple of veggie options, it would have been nice if the mousse could have been made with veggie ingredients, to be more inclusive as we all know desserts are the best part of going out to eat and there was less choice for us

We eat here fairly often, great atmosphere as always but food not as good as usual this time. Chicken burger was dry and over cooked and bread had gone soggy with too much chutney. Beef pizza and sweet potato fries were good. Need better quality olives for the 'Bread and olives' dish.Cocktails were slow to arrive but very nice when they did!

Took the family down to The Castle for dinner on a Friday night. We booked in advance and they'd just released a new menu. The food was absolutely mouth watering, the kids enjoyed their dishes too and cleared their plates.The staff very friendly and efficient, the restaurant area was clean and tidy and we enjoyed our time at dinner.Thanks team!

Wow what can I say? I booked a table for 9 of us on a hen party and we simply had the best evening we could have asked for! We were given our own room upstairs, which they decorated for us with a separate bar we could use. The food was delicious and generous portions. The cherry on the cake was our server Dylan, he was happy, helpful, charismatic, entertaining and knew how to keep a group of hens happy - drinks, drinks, drinks! Meanwhile a party was happening downstairs so the atmosphere in the whole place was electric. We couldn’t have had a better night, highly recommend!

We were given our own room upstairs, which they decorated for us with a separate bar we could use. The food was delicious and generous portions. The cherry on the cake was our server Dylan, he was happy, helpful, charismatic, entertaining and knew how to keep a group of hens happy - drinks, drinks, drinks! Meanwhile a party was happening downstairs so the atmosphere in the whole place was electric. We couldn’t have had a better night, highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing experience for my daughters 18th birthday lunch. From the communication leading up to, to the actual day. I can’t fault anything. My balloons were placed on the table, the leaning cake of doom, which by all accounts I never expected to still be standing when it was brought out! (This was down to my speedy driving and corner taking skills, or lack of!) everything was as discussed and the food just topped it all off. Thank you everyone, this will always be a special place now.Parking: Just across the road

The Castle Inn it's the most popular place in town. On Friday evening there's music and it's a nice place to hang out, even tough they close very early. Food it's good but nothing special. Price are average for the UK. Service it's great. Overall I recommend
Great place for nice food and live music. Would definitely recommend, the food was lovely (particularly the pizzas which are very generously sized - the calzone was amazing!). All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was great, with different sections - pub vibes at the front, then a lovely restaurant area and then an amazing set up function room at the back where we went and watched the live music. There’s also a little garden area which was nice to sit out in the sun! Will definitely be visiting again!

Lovely pub, great atmosphere and food was very nice. Salmon main in particular was both unusual and tasty, with beetroot purees and gin and watercress emulsion. Pricey but great portion sizes. Staff were also super friendly and professional.

Exceptional service from start to finish. Stopped for a bite to eat before a flight and wow I have to say it was some of the best tapas I have eaten in the UK. The staff were helpful, friendly and so polite which is always an added bonus. Would recommend to anyone and we will certainly go out of our way to visit again.

Disappointed with the lunch menu which offered very few dishes for vegetarians. Asked waitress if the chef could do something for the 1 vegetarian amongst us. Response was that he/she couldn’t offer anything else. Will definitely avoid going there again as all 4 of us driven from Leicester & Nottingham on recommendation from a family member who had eaten there before.

Never knew there was an upstairs but lovely room. Had a fab night celebrating 2 birthdays. Great customer service and food. The band was amazing. Only marked down 1 star for food as we had preordered a week in advance, but they didn't have what we ordered and also had to wait a little while for drinks at the start. Other than this, was a fab night and definitely be back.
