Absolutely shocking service ordered over the app at 6pm and still waiting 2 hours later for food to arrive rang several times got told the driver would be 10 mins, rang back 20 mins later to be told the driver delivered our food to the wrong address he is just going back now to collect it, told them we wanted to cancel the food as its been delivered to someone else who have probably hand their hands all over it. Definitely will not be using ellistown fish and chips ever again. This was the first and last time.

We went here for a fish and chip lunch on Saturday after finding the menu online. It was our first visit and we were very impressed! Both guys behind the counter were really friendly and chatty while we waited for our order to be cooked from fresh. Food was great and the portion sizes were huge. Would definitely visit again.

HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE, DO NOT BOTHER.Ordered a meal through deliveroo with an estimated delivery time of 20-30 minutes. An hour and a half later, food was nowhere to be seen so I called and a young man answered(who was very polite and understanding) and he explain the food would be another 20 minutes because it was very busy. I explained that this wait time was unacceptable with no communication, and it then would have been nearly 2 hours since I ordered.An older man (either the owner or manager) then came on the line and said it normally takes 45 minutes anyway...I said I had still been waiting double that. He then continued to talk over me and then HUNG UP ON ME. Arrogant and rude. Such a shame as I've Ordered from here many, many times before and given 5* reviews and never had an issue. Opened my order to then find I'd also been given the wrong drink. Never again and will encourage others to order from elsewhere.

Only wanted a bag of chips, the guy was poking his hands through them pulling bad ones out (gross, get tour damn hands out if peoples food!) Got home 2 minutes later and they were like warm anyway went straight in the bin, waste of money. First and last time I use this place.

Very nice dinner. Had fish, battered small sausage, chips and curry sauce. My only issue was the curry sauce was too runny, and no body. Otherwise hot and delicious. Like the added touch of a slice of lemon on the fish. Very nice.
Been here twice in last couple of weeks food is garbage I bought some for a colleague and he said best part was vinegar fish has no flavour shame really as it’s local to work but will after find somwhere else the staff don’t seem interested poor fish and chipsParking: Parking is poor as it’s a busy road

Been here a handfull of times seeing as its the nearest chip shop to us, food is normally good but they don't seem interested unless its a large order. Popped in for a can of Coke once as I was passing and when I put it on yhe counter they looked at me as if I was joking and said "is that it?...seriously?". The thing is, when you do have a big order, they "forget" things too, they missed a large cod on one order we placed once. But like I say, food is good, just make sure its over £30 and watch what they put in the bag carefully.

Great chip shop the owner j is a great guy when ever I’m working In Leicester I will go for my dinner! Always a warm welcome and the food is excellent fresh and tasty (I recommended the mixed kebab and chips.Thanks for the food enjoyed it.
