Great pub, even better beer especially the Guinness which is poured to 3/4 full THEN left to rest for a few minutes before topped up just how Guinness should be done, Bass and Pedigree both perfect too, can't comment on ther other beers as dont bother with anything other than Guinness. Dogs welcome, there is a sign just inside asking dog owners to let them know you wish to bring a dog in, they then put their dogs away, their own dogs are friendly but if you have a dog read the sign.... it's enough and you can't miss it.Food is great especially Saturday breakfast and Tuesday bike nightWell done

This afternoon I went for a quick drink with the mrs and the dog, the pub states it’s a dog friendly place and “dogs are wecome”. As we walked through the door I notice a Rottweiler, at first it seemed friendly, it approached nicely… all of a sudden an Alsatian came barking around the corner and the pair of dogs went for my old spaniel. I pushed them back with my arm until a second Rottweiler came from the right and grasped its jaws on my leg. Leaving it bruised. We back away while the landlady struggled with the dogs, regardless there wasn’t an apology in sight. We left immediately after we had checked over our dog. The scowl of looks as we drove off gave us the understand that we were not welcome. First and last time in that establishment, I have taken the matter further with reporting the dangerous dogs to my connection in the RAPCA and also the police as I fear for the safety of other dogs or small children. I have inform the local council and have a meeting with them at the beginning of November. What a way to promote yourself, dog friendly with 3 vicious creatures ready to maul a loving dog. Local pub goers may feel different to this story but it’s going to go further and I will make sure the correct measures are put into place. This is now a danger to the public and there will be visits from the authorities.

They Poor the Guinness to half pints and wait for punters to come to fill the rest..not a good policy..warm Guinness is the result because they can’t be bothered to wait 30 seconds to pour a proper pint..wasnt even busy..5/10
Really friendly atmosphere. Ale selection was limited though

Went to Guy's Acoustic Night. Last Monday in the month. Apart from the fact the furniture was overcrowding the room, it was a great night. Very welcoming, great bar prices, fabulous musicians.
